Currently using some Amazon packaging gauze and zip ties 😂 the struggle is real but 4ganks for the advice 👍🏿

What if you don't have this material accessible asap and need a diy splint/brace temporarily? My middle finger locks and aches sporadically. I misplaced my splint need temporary one. What can I use other than this material or popsicle stick I don't have either? Thank you.

Just saw this comment but something you can do like use some sturdy construction paper and roll it around your whole finger. Tape it tightly and you should be good.

@@AlpineRR26 thank you. I was able to find a straw and cut it in half and trimmed them down to size. Wrapped it in paper towel/napkin for cushion (like a tiny bed). Wrapped that in sports tape from the $1.25 store to "waterproof" it. Then cut a strip of sports tape in half to secure it on my finger like straps. Works well.

@@jessicaduran19 Nice. I used this random piece of circular plastic from a glue stick container and taped it up with an extra layer of paper and tape.

The splinting material can be purchased from any medical supply store. Or by doing a quick search online for "Splinting Materials". We do however, recommend that you work with a licensed Hand Therapist if you're looking for help.
