Hi very lovely pouch bags the one you did not like with the scallops I would take it turn it inside out at the bottom of each corner measure 1 1/2 inches draw a line to sew in both corners than cut triangle leaving 1/4 inch. Walla you just squared the bottom of the bag. Love to see it how. It comes out happy 🧵 sewing😍🥰👍🤗🤗leave the scallops on the sides it's different but 🥰 cute
Thank you for this little project - simple yet useful & classy! I am curious though - I actually liked the scalloped edge for something different. What is the reason you preferred to cut off the scalloped edge?
I have the same placemat and was looking for a refresher tutorial. Glad I found yours! Love your bags. Great job! I love Annie’s zippers too. They are the best.
That one is interesting for sure. There are a couple of challenges with the zipper you would need to experiment with but if you are an experienced sewer you would be able to figure it out.
i have a normal home sewing machine just a low cost brother machine. So how would I accommodate this thickness? do i need a specialized needle ? is this only done on a like a commercial machine ? wouldn't something this this thick cause harm to a low cost machine ? I am dying to use place-mats to make project bags and to make things like a bag to carry swim suits in etc.
