How to Make ANY Application Portable

In this video I'll show you how to make portable versions from any application. Instead of installing applications on various computers, make them portable with Cameyo ! Portable applications also avoid extra clutter on your computers. For this video I'll make PhotoShop CS.6 portable.

For minor updates you can use the "patch" parameter on the virtual package but for major updates, to avoid any bugs it would be best to re-capture the latest version of the software. It's a shame but packages requiring . NET framework, DirectX etc. must have a version on the target system in order to work.

Yes, though I would I only recommend it for light games, unless you have one beast of a computer for it.

Can portable installations be updatable from inside the portable installation? Is it also portable to include directX, .Net, etc. in a portable installation?

That should depend on the specs of your computer. Cameyo is able to virtualize just about everything but if your computer can stand processing then running portable programs exceeding 2GB is another thing...

Everything will be packaged (all DLL files too), but the target system (i.e. a school computer) on which you run the portable app must have the required framework also installed. Whatever you are trying to package, let me know if it's a succes :)

I do think that the Spoon Virtual Application Studio is better and offer more options yet it's little bit complicated :)

Warez dear friend do you think i will buy a $6000 to make a simple MS VS 2010 portable version :D....and i did try Cameyo yet it's not what i really need since you can include .NET Framework to the package with SVAS . good tutorial thanks :)

Cameyo (free version) failed me every time I wanted to make an app portable on my windows 7 x64 laptop. It simply didn't work. Evalaze did a better job but also failed most of the time. I've used the trial version of Turbo Studio and it worked like a charm. It's a way too expensive program though. Can anyone recommend me a free program to make apps portable that really gets the job done?

So you say it's absolutely impossible to include a framework inside a package? Some games just require a DLL for directx to work. Won't this work for these packages too?

Can someone please respond! I have a question. So let's say I already have a torrented version of Photoshop CS6 on my computer ALREADY installed. Does this mean I have to reinstall it again JUST to capture it to make it portable? Will reinstalling Photoshop CS6 for capture affect my ALREADY installed one or will it just like leave it alone? PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME. I wanna be safe here with my programs and not mess up with shits if its messed up.

You'll surely encounter an error or a message asking you to first uninstall Photoshop. To be on the safe side, I'd advise you to first uninstall, start capturing, install again, then stop the capture.
