Thank you for introducing me to Collard greens, I always passed them by at the market because I didn’t know what to do with them. I followed your instruction and I’m hooked on COLLARD GREENS. Thank you so much for taking the time in the making of this video. I felt as if I was standing next to you and you were giving me a private cooking lesson. Again THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I can’t thank you enough for your thorough details and instructions! You are a true blessing to me as a new wife and mom who wants to serve her family quality meals. God bless you for your willingness to teach and share your knowledge! I will support in anyway possible! Stay encouraged! 💜

Is it soft enough to eat without upper teeth? I am a newbie too. Could this recipe be made with spinach and brown rice? Love you Gina. Do u have a cook book?
Went to the grocery store yesterday in my small Georgia town and I looked at those smoked turkey legs and wings and thought, I know I should buy those and cook somethin' good. Now I remember why I KNEW I needed them. Oh, I need me some collards. Thank you, Gina, for the cooking lesson.
GINA, OLDER PEOPLE LIKE ME EAT TOMATO AND ONIONS ON THE SIDE OF THEIR GREENS BECAUSE THATS HOW IT WAS SERVED TO ME WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND I LOVE IT! MY FAMILY AND I STILL EAT IT THAT WAY! I DONT KNOW IF THATS SOUTHERN OR CHICAGO STYLE BEING THAT MY MOTHER IS A CHICAGOAN AND MY DADDY WAS A TENNESEEAN THAT SETTLED IN CHICAGO AFTER WORLD WAR 1.

I've never had good Kale or Collard greens in the Summer. No matter how long they cook, they never get tender. My Mom says that the frost has to hit them first in order for them to be tender and good. Greens to me are a Fall or Winter treat.
I want to say, for my 1st time cooking collard greens this past Monday...OMG that broth was off the chain. I went step bye step from your video and my greens came out PERFECTO...LOL. Thank you for this great video.
MRS. YOUNG I'VE NEVER HAD COLLARD GREENS. MY FRIENDS FROM THE SOUTH SAYS I DON'T KNOW WHAT I'M MISSING......ALSO NEVER HAD CABBAGE..OR FRIED CABBAGE. BUT THOSE GREENS LOOK DELICIOUS
Hi Gina, just wanted you to know that I followed your video down to a t and those greens girl was the best. My husband and granddaughter loved them. Now I have made greens before but the seasoning that you used and the turkey legs was out of this world. I'm so glad that I found your page. I love your style and your recipes. I can't wait to try some of your other recipes. Thanks again for all of your hard work.
It looks like it would be easier to clean them first like you do and then cut them but I’ve never made them before so idk. I’m watching this so I can try to cook me some yum 😋
These were the best greens that I’ve made in my life. Even my dad gave me the thumbs up and he’s hard to satisfy when it comes to food! I’m making these again for the holidays since my family love them so much. Thank you so much for this well instructed video ❤
Girl.... you can cook!!!!! Your greens remind me of my Nana (Virginia) at Thanksgiving! I use your recipes all the time!!!! Thank you for sharing your tasty knowledge
Can you leave the leaves whole and wash them as you demonstrated and the cut them? I really enjoy your vids. You have such a pleasant disposition. It reminds me of my mom. The best cooks have mismatch potlids and missing handles. Love it....lol. Do you do chitterlings too?
Gina, I could turn that bowl upside down and drink that delicious pot liquor right outta that bowl. It all looks so delicious. I've not eaten greens with rice before.....but I love everything in that bowl! It looks sooooo good! I love your pretty blue glass! God bless and goodnight. Please enjoy a big bite of those greens for me too!
Sooooo you just gave me life!!! Lol I literally don’t know how to cook anything!! I’ve been binge watching your videos!! You are a great cook!! I can’t wait to try some of these!! I love how you actually show the ingredients as you say them! I also love all the details as someone like me needs all the details possible so I can’t mess anything up!! Maybe let us know how long things takes to cook on what temperatures and maybe show that ! Like when you say put it in medium heat show the camera the temp you put it on or show where you place the knob! Because not everybody has the same stove top! Some is low medium high heat some has 1,2,3,4 as level of heat!! Keep all the details ! I love your channel as I am a new subscribers!! Keep up all your hard work! You do so well! I love your energy!!! Your a blessing!! Hope you and your family are well! Thank you thank you!! Sending love!! ✊🏼✌🏼☝🏻💯🤙🏼🙌🏼👋🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼💞
Love your greens tutorial. I put my Turkey in crock pot with onions garlic brown sugar and chicken broth for 4 hrs everything falls off bones and I can pull out thin bones and skin then I put the greens in and cook so much flavor too.
Hi Miss Gina, that looks so good. I have never made this but have always wanted to try it. This made my mouth water. My mother and grandmother used to talk about this meal but never made it. I will have to share with my Auntie when I do make this. Oh, BTW those pin bones are tendons and my mother-in-law would take those out before cooking the legs. It actually makes the meat more tender and easier to get off the bone. Get a brand new pair of plyers that will be used only for the kitchen, which is what she did. And you can find the tendons at the base of the leg by the knuckle. Just grab it and pull them out. Sometimes they are tough but keep at it until you get most of them out. Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful weekend.
Kelly Class thank u and thanks for watching God bless enjoy the rest of the channel vigor more great recipes thanks for the tip hope you try these greens one day ❤️😊
I tried your way of cooking collard green this Christmas gone. And babyyy when I tell you at the end of my Christmas gathering.... All the collard greens was gone. I thought maybe I will have some for the next day. Nope.. Lol them Jokers clean me out. Thanks for the recipe. And may God bless you and your family. You know you can cook mrs Gina Young. Keep the video coming
IKR I can’t stand watching/listening to youtubers eat and smack their lips or drink and be slurping shit down. I can’t stand it in person let alone watch and hear it on RU-vid. Love this channel but I can’t watch anymore. Btw I’m not trying to be mean but it just sounds disgusting not to mention is very ill mannered.
Ohhh pot liquor and cornbread! You know I’m not a fan of collards however, you make them look so good I’m going to have to rethink my decisions in life. Man that looks delicious!
I never made collard greens until today, I watched this video and saved it several months ago. Well I did everything you instructed. I just have to say, this was definitely the most delicious pot of collard greens I ever tasted and I made them! 😂😂. Thank you. Keep cooking! You made a subscriber out of me! I can not wait for my family to try it! Happy Easter!
And that is so funny . Because ny mom use to eat her greens that way with chopped onions and tomatoes on the side .And her fresh greens beans that way too .. And she would take her pot liquor and crumble corn bread in it and eat it the next day after the greens were gone it had so much flavor .. Wow you brought back good memories of my childhood😋thank you .
I am 60 yrs old, And Only had Greens One Time in my Life. Last Summer. And I Was Just Talking About It. Don't Look That Hard To Make. I'm Cooking Them Soon 😉
Gina the salt not only acts as an abrasive put also kills any little worms ...have you ever tried soaking them in salt water overnight...thats how we do....then you'll see the worms rise to the top and the smell peeeew!! then do the regular 5 times sink wash..Looks delish :)
Mrs. Gina, You should have a network show. on BET or OWN or somewhere cause you are the real "soul food deal!" Every time I watch your channel I get sooo hungry. especially when you get to the end and tell us why something your cooking is so creamy or how delicious it is and put a fork full up to the camera for us to taste. Then eat the whole bowl or plate! Lord have mercy! Bless you, Mrs. Gina, for your knowledge and for sharing your gift of cooking with us!

If I don't, my family may nvr speak to me again😂😂😂 But, I use just bout same ingredients as you & I must say it is deelish if I may say so myself😁 However, I nvr use the onion & pepper flakes. I'll add that nxt time. Tfs👍😊
Gina you are simply amazing!! Because of you, I now have a new found hobby. Gina Young style! Everything is simple and easy and very fun. My family and I thank you for sharing your gift with us.
My California cousins, grew up here eastcoast Virginia. Their mom never cooked collards. I took your greens to a family dinner. they were like "no way". I talked them into trying 1 fork full. I made a lot of greens. Guess what? I went home with an empty dish. They ate'em up. The girls wanted the recipe. I said, "no way". Then I emailed them the link to this video. Gotta share. Dayg, now I have to cook more for me.
Hello Ms.Gina . I always enjoy Ur videos, I count on U everyday to bring me back to my childhood & U never fail.Thank U Ms.Gina. Stay safe and strong and GOD BLESS.
