Omg thanks for sharing oo, I normally boil my bitterleaf with potash, sometimes the potash will remove the whole bitterness which I don't like. I'm going to give your method a try. There is no ads on this video why???

Everything is good except the boiling of the plastic bag. The bitter-leaf will soften if squeezed without boiling it first or adding anything. Just squeeze it as if you are reducing the bitter taste for the first time. Doing it that way would not only soften it but retain a bit bitter taste. I was almost getting disillusioned about dry bitterleaf until I discovered the process of squeezing it first before adding to ede or egusi. Nice video by the way.
@AdorableKitchen
@AdorableKitchen 2 года назад
Okay. If that works for you, great. It doesn't work for me.

What if you boil it directly in the water and baking Soda without the plastic bag?
@AdorableKitchen
@AdorableKitchen 3 года назад
I have not tried it but I think it will be extremely soft and won't be good anymore.
@ezinneebini388
@ezinneebini388 3 года назад
Yes it works when you boil it directly in the pot without the plastic bag, the only thing is that you must keep an eye on it because it foams alot and pour into your stove
