my mum told me to watch this as she knew I was a big howtocookthat fan she then told me to open my Easter egg and I found a phone inside I was so pleased
We also love kinder eggs, These are so fun. I've tried making my own chocolate Easter eggs a long time ago. You've inspired me to try it again. Thanks.
As an American, and because we just call all of it candy, I love hearing it. The accents and word choice people all over the world have are very interesting.
You are such a kind and clever person! What I'd love to find inside the egg would be a short message of hope and loveliness, and maybe something beautiful as well, like a tiny thing for a doll's house.
I love how you are considerate to those who don't have a mold. Cheap and easy options. So many options, love that keep doing what you're doing. Hope you blessed new year and may you always stay strong in these Last Days.
Yes, Kinder Eggs are illegal here, haha! I haven't seen one since I was in 3rd grade! And I would like to find a Kinder Egg inside an easter egg! hehe :D
amazing.... we really do not celebrate easter in our place, i think we just did it once in our church and that was it. it is kinda sad but watching this made me happy and i felt like i was also able to celebrate easter. Thank you Ann :)
Wouldn't it be easier to cut the big white egg in half, place the gift inside and seal it like you did with the other eggs? Because now it looks like you stole the egg a kidney.... :D
Hi Bag123, haha stole a kidney. What you suggest will probably work for a smaller egg but in a big egg it will probably crack before you are able to cut all the way around.
As a pagan I don't understand why people are getting so defensive about this Christian elements in this video. Yes some believe the holiday was originally pagan but if you don't like the video, click away, it wasn't made specifically for you only so calm down
In England, easter eggs are made with a line around them where the two halves were joined, so wouldn't it be better to cut along that and join where it was originally?
I love kinder eggs! I live in Staten Island and whenever my cousin is going to Lebanon she stuffs the kinder joys and the regular ones in her suitcase and she gives it to us when she comes back. Yummy!!!
Love Friday nights, when I sit down and watch what I call 'cake porn' (youtube). Thanks for being #1 on my list to watch, you rock! (Just shared your channel on my facebook page :))
How To Cook That Hey Ann! You are Australian, right? Well, I am from Greece and I love the Eurovision Song Contest! I wouldn't ask you to make for me something about Eurovision (a cake, a chocolate bar or something else) before, because you are not in Europe, but this year Australia participates in the contest, so... can you make something for me? Greetings from Greece!
Great video! It was nice to hear someone talking about the Christian side of Easter :-) As a Christian myself, I find it incredibly annoying when people say "Easter is about bunnies and chocolate!" when it's real purpose is to celebrate new life and how Jesus saved every single one of us :-) The chocolate, bunnies and chicks are symbolising new life, which is why we use them to celebrate Easter, but sometimes the meaning gets lost with non religious people. Thanks for helping people realise the real meaning of Easter :-)
While the purpose of Easter might be religious I find its nice that people of all beliefs get to enjoy egg hunts and whatnot. However I understand you don't want the original meaning to get lost.
Such wonderful, fun, clever ideas. You will glad to hear Ann, that one company has found a way around the ban of Kinder Surprise eggs for the U.S. market... which makes me happy as I've never had the pleasure of having one. Here's a link if you want to read about it: abcnews.go.com/blogs/business/2013/03/toy-filled-chocolate-eggs-legal-in-us/
How To Cook That I sure hope so as I'd love to try one at least once in my life. I understand their concern with the choking hazard, (which I believe is the reason "Cracker Jacks" had to switch from containing cute little plastic toys, play rings, etc... to lame paper tattoos and stickers), but they were one of my favorite childhood memories.
No, unfortunately I haven't seen any on Ebay. Sellers have probably been warned not to sale them to U.S. customers just as they did with the gold and silver dragees (darn it! I LOVE dragees but they are illegal in California). But I'm definately going to use your egg idea and make my own (I'm thinking gold earrings, lipstick, etc..) because hey, I deserve it! haaa.
Kinder eggs weren't always illegal. They just happen to be now. Yes, it's embarrassing. Apparently our government thinks kids and parents are too stupid to not choke to death on a Kinder surprise.
I went to France and had one a while ago and brought back a small baby panda. I imported the toy. A relative explained why they're illegal and that they used to not be.
Well, they became illegal in the early 2000s, because some kid choked on a wonder ball. Wonder Balls never had a compartment to protect candy and inedible toy, like Kinder eggs do.
***** but wonder balls didn't need a compartment because inside wonder balls usually had other candies. they were like little sugar candies in the shape of what ever theme was on the box. I've never eaten one with a toy in it before
They used to have things like toys and stickers in them, my brother had one in his room that he kept for sentimental value. We cracked it open and we saw a toy in it rachel grace
This is my favorite channel and I absolutely love every dessert you do. Always something different and awesome every week. Keep up the work because you have so much talent
Yeah...it bums me out that Kinder eggs are illegal in the states as well- apparently Americans aren't smart enough to know not to eat the toy? lol. I send the toys back to the states to my family and friends often, with the chocolate in a separate baggy- though I think kinder chocolate is a but yuck anyway :)
people who are offended or uncomfortable by her talking about the bible, get off her page. u have a lot of nerve saying something about it especially when it's a whole video about EASTER IDEAS.
Just because you're not religious doesn't mean that she can't talk about the bible. Would you rather she didn't make this video? She was kind enough to show us how she made Easter eggs for people. And what she put in was what she was giving someone.
Um no that's not what I said. I personally don't believe in any God, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I believe that as long as they don't push their religion on others they can believe whatever they want :)
Amazing Ann ! I've never thought to make eggs myself and fill them with things. I love the idea of putting little love notes inside, or even the Bible. What a great gift idea!
Can you please make a Percy Jackson and the Olympians dessert? Everyone like this up so that it gets made!! Ann, your channel makes me so happy and I look forward to every Friday because of your videos!
I didnt know Kinder Surprise Eggs were illegal in the USA... They sell them in A LOT of stores in my area in CA. Im so glad we have them though, because all the kids would be sad without them. LOVE the tutorial today!!! Im am definitely going to try these this year :)
Hi Ann, I am an Australian as well and I absolutely love your videos. I love to cook and create and your designs are beautiful. It would absolutely make my day if you could show me how to make a gum ball machine-style dispenser. My cousins and family would love this idea and I would too. I love your videos and they brighten my day and give me wonderful ideas. Love your videos
