Aw, my mom does all these things for me when I go over, I never thought of doing this for other people until now. I really appreciate all these concrete examples 😃 I noticed there isn't a 'watch later' option for this video, maybe it's just a glitch on my end.

Are you an Earth sign? The way you convey this message and the way I was nodding along with all of your advice was givng Earth sign energy, lol. -A Virgo Also, another thing that might help is giving a brief tour of the home and talking about your home if there's anything special about it or special about it to you. The view from the balcony, maybe it was creaated by a famous architect, or maybe your floors are made from a special wood. When people visit someone's house for the first time they're extremely limited to what the host/hostess reveals to them. Sometimes people feel stuck and restricted if you only bring them to one spot and never move. Unless, of course, you only have a studio! 😅Giving someone a light tour also tells them where they can find the restroom instead of them having to ask where it is later.

Nope. Aires here. It's probably the kids that changed the way I deliver information. I wasn't always this calm and measured. 😂 And yes, I do plan on showing more of my home in upcoming videos. Thanks for commenting!

I’m not a social butterfly at all and I don’t know a lot about etiquette but if you invite me over to your house, I don’t expect to be assigned a task or duty. I would think you have taken care of everything and now we’re going to get on with what we’re there for. What am I missing?

Hahahaha! I would too. That advice was for if the guest offered to assist the host. For sure, you should not walk around assigning tasks to guests. But, if someone offers to help and you reject their gesture it might make them feel bad. So, to avoid that, I suggested giving them a small task to do. But again, that's only if they've offered to help.

@@diannedecor This makes perfect sense. I loved all these suggestions, I'm going to practice on my brother, lol.

I always offer to help the hostess even if its placing food on the table or chilling more wine or telling the kids upstairs its time to eat. its just a courtesy.
