It's a cooking secret for men😁 Thanks Charlie for checking this out, if you like a little heat, give this a try. I think you would like it! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
Well, I've been making a LOT of jalapeño jelly this year as my plants did a bumper crop! Here's another tip. Freeze 3 or 4 spoons, just in case you have to adjust the pectin 😀 Thank you for checking this one out! Have a wonderful day!😊
I have made 3 batches this season so far! The recipe calls for 6, but for more jalapeño flavor, add a dozen! If you like it spicy, and you have a LOT of jalapeños like I did this year, try my jalapeño relish! I did a video last week, and both recipes are on my website. I hope you enjoy the jelly. Have a wonderful weekend!😊
Greetings from Ireland. I came across ur video yesterday and THANK YOU. I was afraid to try it but after ur video I bit the bullet . I'm delighted. it's delicious 😋. I think I be like ur brother in law and next time get more heat.had it with cheese n crackers today loved it. Holiday blessings ur way 🎄
Thank you very much! This jalapeno jelly is one of my favorites! And since I had a lot of jalapenos this year, I was able to make a lot of delicious things with them!
This is the best recipe ever. Shared my jelly with friends we eat it on everything. Can't get enough of it. Have made 5 batches in 1 month hoping it will last me thru the winter but I know it won't. Thank you so much for your video. God Bless
Oh thank you so much!!! Yes, made some more from our plants this year! And of course people that had it last year was wanting some so, well I had to make it for them! I hope you have a wonderful day!!!
Thank you so much 🤗 this jalapeno jelly is really good! I think most people think it's going to be too hot, but it's actually pretty sweet with some heat! I hope you have a great day!👍🍻
I appreciate you showing how you made the recipe using the powdered pectin. My old recipe was apple cider vinegar, sugar, jalapenos and liquid pectin. I think I can now adjust my recipe with powdered pectin and 5 cups of sugar instead of 6 with the liquid pectin. I've subscribed to your channel because it sounds like you have some awesome recipes! Thank you!!
Thank you so much for checking this out! I absolutely love this jalapeno jelly! So easy to make and really doesn't taste like a lot of people think when you tell them it's jalapeno jelly. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Thank you so much! It's so good! And jalapeno jelly isn't spicy hot unless you want it to be and even then it's not super spicy. My first couple batches were delicious with a hint of heat but mostly flavorful. So about the 4 or 5th batch I loaded up with the jalapenos and got some heat. But even it was still so tasty and wasn't hot, but you could tell the jalapenos were there. In other words, you can adjust to your liking. Hope you enjoy it and have a wonderful weekend!
WOOHOO Jalapeno Pepper Jelly this looks sensational Kevin I loved watching how you made this. I have a wicked idea I think I might just make this myself!!!!!
Thanks Patrick! Now that IS a wicked good idea! Give it a try, it's really not that hard to make and if it doesn't set, you'll have a great glaze! My 2nd batch is a glaze! Let me know if you do and how it turned out! I hope you have an awesome day brother👍🍻👊
this is awesome for sure! I need that in my life, nicely done and it was interesting to see the process! I'd love to use this for a dip or even in sandwiches!
I make mine hot / hot ! My favorite way to eat it is : put a piece of extra sharp cheddar cheese on a good cracker , then a dab of hot pepper jelly on the cheese ! AWESOME !
@@Mankitchenrecipes I made your jalapeno jelly today it came out great my husband and I are going to try the ribs they look good. we used to live in Tijeras New Mexico in the mountains I love the desert thanks for responding looking forward to more great recipes
My mother and I made a batch of this stuff years ago but I lost the recipe. Thank you so much for sharing your method. If you want an interesting twist on this stuff, add a couple of habaneros or scotch bonnets to it. They give a nice mango-like flavor and a ton of extra heat. My aunt used to make the habanero version and it was amazing.
Thanks for checking this out! Yeah, this is a really good recipe, and I'll have to try adding a habanero next time. That does sound amazing! I hope you have an awesome week ahead!👍
Kevin - my friend Vicki gives me jars and jars of green pepper jelly- I like cooking an onion with garlic in butter then with some apple cider vinegar- then add the pepper jelly to make sort of like a bbq sauce- I like this also with goat cheese. The frozen spoon tip is key- 29 jalapeños holy moly-
Thank you Alexis!!! I've seen the green pepper jelly that uses food coloring and is strained. I bet it's good too! Especially used in your BBQ sauce, that sounds amazing! Goat cheese? I'll have to try that, I have used it with some cream cheese and it's really good too! And I know, 29! this batch hits you immediately but with the sweet, it doesn't make you sweat😁 I hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving Alexis, I can only imagine how amazing your meal and presentation will be!!!
Awesome! Thank you! Yeah my hot sauce is just about gone. My wife finally tried it and she is putting it on everything now too! We just had it on our eggs this past weekend and it was so good! Hope yours turned out good too!!! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thanks brother! This really came out great! I like the higher heat level of this batch and can't wait to put in on some pork! I hope that you and yours have a Happy Thanksgiving my bearded friend!😁👍🍻👊
Thanks Sal! Definitely great on ribs! Also great on pork chops too!!! And it's easy to make if you get a chance, you won't be disappointed! Have a Happy Thanksgiving brother!👍🍻👊
Good stuff!👍🏻 great video. Between you and Pitsmoke I’m going have to get some jarring equipment. You guys make some good stuff. Definitely cool brother
Thanks Chris, I don't usually can too much, but when you need to, you just need to. I hate seeing things go to waste and canning is a great way to prolong some great stuff! I usually just make jelly's since I grow fruit! I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving brother!
Thanks Brandon, making jelly is really pretty easy. I haven't used other seasonings in my jalapeno jelly but I would imaging some garlic and onions might be good! I grow grapes, apricot's, Asian pears, that I have made into jelly's and jam's and they are delicious too! I hope you and yours have a Happy and Blessed Thanksgiving!
Thanks Darrell, this batch is really good and hot but not too hot, you just don't have to wait to feel the heat! If I don't see you guys at thanksgiving I hope you all have a HAPPY Thanksgiving Cuz!!!
Thanks Stephen, just a little too far..... But like I said, you could make this and add a or some Scotch Bonnet peppers and you would Love it! I hope you have an awesome day! 🕵️♂️👀🔎👀👀👀😁👊🍻🤣
Really good instructions! Is it possible to substitute the sugar with a more friendly sweetener such as Munk Fruit that is better for not spiking blood sugar ?
Thanks for checking this out! I'm pretty sure you can use monk fruit, but obviously, the process would be a little different and would make less. I think you'd have to find a recipe specifically using it or give it a try! It may take a couple of tries, but it I think it could work. 🤔
@@Mankitchenrecipes I'm going to experiment! I know the older generation like to have a jelly that is good but friendly on the blood system, hum! Maybe a new product in the making.
Thank you for not subjecting us to watch you cutting all of those peppers up. Your recipe looks awesome. thank you. NOw you mentioned ribs, so I think I"ll subscribe to your channel. LOL.
Thank you for checking this out! This jalapeno jelly is so good and nothing like one would think it would taste. And yes, it bugs me too watching every veggie get cut up in real time. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hey Rob! Thanks!!! Yeah, it's a lot easier than you would think and it really does taste amazing! I keep checking for new content from you! Hope to see some soon and I also hope that you have a Happy Thanksgiving brother!!!
Thank you for checking this out! If you make more than one jar, the others need to keep until you are ready to consume them. Boiling the jars basically removes the oxygen and helps seal the lid so it doesn't go bad. I hope you have a wonderful day!😊
Thanks for checking this out! I honestly don't know. Jellies are made primarily with sugar and lots of it. You can experiment obviously or ask Goigle to see if anyone else has tried that.
Well I know what I'm doing with some Jalapeños next summer😁 thanks for sharing Kevin, great tutorial 👍🏻 bet that jelly would be good on that smoked cream cheese everyone is making🤔 have a great one, and an awesome Thanksgiving! You all stay safe!👍👊🍻🍺
Thanks Craig!!! Definitely make this AND make the jalapeno salt if you grow a bunch of them! It's so good! And yes, I'll most likely do a smoked cream cheese vid with it too! Maybe a shorts? Not sure yet... I hope that you are yours have a Happy Thanksgiving! I can only imagine how great your meal will be!👍🍻👊
Thank you for checking this out! Using 5 cups of sugar will make just about 4 pints and the amount of peppers shouldn't matter. If you don't want to make as much, you would adjust the ingredients. Fewer jalapeno peppers or sweet mini peppers? This recipe only calls for 6 jalapeno peppers and trust me, it's not spicy hot when it's finished. Have a wonderful day!
🤔 I suppose there is a way. I personally don't know, but I'd google it. I don't think the peppers have natural pectin. More sugar will probably make it too sweet? What about gelatin? Just some thoughts. I hope you can find a good alternative. Thanks for checking this out! Have a great day!👍
@ManKitchenRecipes Ok thanks for replying Hermoso señor❣️ me encantó la receta y aún así con toda esa azúcar la haré..Blessings for you and ur family 💐🤗
Blessings in an abundance of the faith. I salute you. 😘🙏Grace and peace be unto you and to this place. God bless you. 🤍🤍🤍💌🤍🤍🤍Thank you. Will you believe and receive Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour??? I do. 💌
I don't see why not? This batch is hot, but not too hot. The sugar does take that hot edge off, but leaving the seeds I would imagine you would get some hot bites! Let me know how it turns out! Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you! I hope you do make this and you can make it spicy, this batch is spicy and it's delicious! Great on pork ribs and chops! Thanks for the sub and checking out my channel! I really appreciate it!!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
I'm going absolutely insane. I've tried googling my problem and there's zero results. My issue is that I waited too long to put my jelly mixture into my jars and it started to set in the pot. Now it's all chunky and bubbly because I didn't can it while it was still liquid. How can I fix this!??! Everytime I google my issue, no matter how I word it, the only results I get is how to fix runny jelly. Not how to fix jelly that's set too quickly before I could jar it. Can I reheat the jelly to turn it liquid and then re-can it? (I used liquid pectin). Help!!!
Wow sorry to hear this. I am no expert on jelly but I would try to reheat it on low stirring constantly as it melts but do not bring it back to a boil. The problem is it might not reset? Not sure how much you made, but I'm sure it tastes delicious as it sits. So another option would be to spoon it into the jars and pack it down as good as you can and use it. If you have several jars, give some away or freeze it. And if all else fails, toss it and make a new batch. Good luck and let me know how it goes.
Well, you can put it on just about anything. It's not that spicy, as one would think. I've put it on pork ribs and pork chops, too. Thanks for checking this out, and have a great day!👍✌️
