Ritz will work I'm a fan of club crackers cream cheese is mandatory this is also good with bagels and cream cheese. Overall I'm very happy with the result. Always appreciate you visiting my friend
I’ve watched and rewatched this video as I make different hot pepper jellies for my dad! I used 12 oz hot pepper and then added 1 bell pepper just fir more color. My dad likes it HOT!
Mike my friend you did it again. That looks great. One of my favorite snacks. Hey I had a crazy thought..... Blueberry pepper jelly. Emmmmm TASTE!!!!!!
Hello Miss Pati and thank you for visiting. This was the first time I've made pepper jelly it is surprisingly easy to make and quite tasty. I will be trying other things as well.
Look like you've got the process of canning down now..... I've never heard of pepper jelly ..... Those caps are popping..... Well you may have just convinced me I could try it by saying it didn't have a lot of bite to the hotness.....😁 👍🏼
Yeah SK I'm really getting to like this canning thing. The heat is minimal just some warmth to the throat. The taste is awesome. I appreciate your continued support my brother
Mike, that was really good looking pepper jelly. I came from a family of "canners" and have watched my mother can and helped her can. This brings back a lot of memories to me. Thanks buddy.
Glad you enjoyed it Jerry. My mon didn't can and this was just the second thing I canned. This could become a habit. Thank you so much for the kind words my friend
Pepper jelly is some good stuff, looked great Mike! Like the idea of making a rib glaze that's gonna be good! Gotta check out that preserve book👍 thanks for sharing brother ,have a great weekend, you all stay safe!👍👊🍻
Hey Mike, my mother used to make this all the time for me and Dad. She would use the green food coloring but, it was a big hit on Christmas morning breakfast. She would actually leave the seeds in. It had a little bite but, the cream cheese took that away. Thanks for sharing and bringing back memories.
Hey Jobuck yeah I didn't take many seeds out it is just warm not hot. The flavor is fantastic. I'm really happy with the result. I will make this again. Thanks for stopping by my friend
Another process but well worth it Mike! You know exactly what is in it. Pepper Jelly and Cream Cheese together just work! Looking forward to the glaze! Take care bud!
I can't remember if I told you before, but someone gave us some pepper jelly at Christmas one year. Mom wouldn't eat it because it was pepper jelly and she's not into hot stuff really so I ate it. It was pretty good, I have to admit. I doubt it was as hot as what you just made though since you left all those seeds in there. I was told to eat it on crackers with cream cheese just like how you ate yours. I guess that's the tried and trusted method of consumption.
Hey Bill, yeah crackers and cream cheese works great. I tried it on beagles with cream cheese also. This is very tasty and not very hot at all. The cooking process and all that sugar take most of the heat away. Just some warmth in the throat. Thanks for watching my friend
Have never did jam this way, always cooked then canned let the magic happen as the lids snap. The only one I will try in hot water is a carrot cake jam, because she did it that way. My Gramma and Mom canned just from all what you did b4 the hot water. The only thing that I can think of in a hot water bath was canned moose meat we did. It does look so good. Stay safe & take care of you all. Thanks for sharing eh :))
Hello and welcome to my channel. This was actually only the second thing I've ever canned and it is quite tasty. I will definitely be trying other things ad well. I really like to try new things. I appreciate you visiting.
