In this video I will share with you a quick and simple Palava sauce recipe. Palava sauce is a well known stew in many West-African countries. Traditionally it is made with Cocoyam leaves also called Taro leaves, but in this recipe I will show you how it can be made with spinach.
Ingredients:
1 Can Tinned Tomatoes (400g)
1 Large onion
1 Cup Ground Egusi (melon seeds) + 1 Cup of water or 3 Eggs
400ml Red Palmnut oil
1 Scotch Bonnet
2 Cloves Garlic
1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
2 Teaspoons Curry spices
1 1/12 Teaspoons Salt
Spinach 900g Frozen Spinach or +/- 2kg Fresh Spinach
