Afro Latino/Native here. I’ve lived with Mexicans for years. As a suggestion I would roast the poblano whole first brings out more flavor. 😊

Just made this. On the stove in the final stage. Can’t wait. Panera soups are heated from the bags of soup shipped to the store so this will be a zillion times better.

I made a maple board cabbage shredder with a stainless steel blade and is also adjustable with a wing nut on the front part of the board for cutting depth adjustment. We don't make a lot of sauerkraut but we do freeze quite a bit of fresh sweet corn for winter recipes. It is fast, effortless, and does not shoot corn milk all over the prep area. I would never use a peeler or hand-held knife. My grandmother, mother, and all my aunts did it this way. It is so easy.

Thanks for sharing your recipe, it was delicious! I added more salt and sugar, especially because I had to use frozen corn, couldn’t find fresh, which is sweeter. Because I cubed my potatoes, the way Panera does theirs, my soup didn’t thicken like yours from the potatoes, but I added corn starch to fix that!

I made this recipe once before and it was delicious! Promised to make again for my family while we are on vacation… but very disappointed to see that the website is down for maintenance, and the recipe isn’t posted elsewhere (like in the description box). Everyone is very disappointed

Can the vinegar be optional? Also, I plan to make some corn on the cob in water but with a cup of milk and butter (how we usually boil corn on the cob), can I use the left over broth from that? Thank you!!

Sure, you can leave the vinegar out. Make it so that you love it! I'm not sure about the corn water, though. If you try it, report back and LMK how it turned out.😁

Oh, this video just reminded me……Panera used to make an amazing (seasonal) chicken stew with herbed biscuit. For whatever reason, they discontinued it. If there is any way you can find and share that recipe, it would be GREAT!!!!
