I think they do because I time traveled to December a few months ago to get all of the recipes and when I made a perfect snowboy yesterday they gave me a large snowflake and told me they would send me a present in the mail, which was a fully crafted frozen bed.
I actually hate how there's a "perfect snowboy" size, when I first saw the snowballs I was excited to make snow families of all different sizes all around the island but whenever I make one it always complains about how ugly it is. I thought it was cute just the way it was 😥
The souls of the snowboys have all been raised in body shaming families and now have severe insecurities about the snowboy they inhabit once the snow rolling is complete not being perfectly proportioned. No one gave them love and support about how they already looked and now it's up to us as the players to be the supportive family they never had. Make those oddly proportioned snowboys! Give them teeny tiny heads with maximum sized bodies, give them maximum sized heads on teeny tiny bodies, give them heads and bodies that are exactly equal sized, then make sure that each and every one of them knows darn good and well that you will love and support them no matter how carnival-mirror-reflection shaped they are! Tip: try to roll it until it’s slightly bigger then your ac character, after that make another one so you can make it until it reaches half of your stomach in your ax character

Glad you said what proportion it has to be along with the ear trick. Every guide video I've watched only ever shows the path trick and I can't do paths yet.
@@ottosmiddletoe387 so basically people on twitch with mainly hacked islands will host these islands and let you come and get stuff for free. some are come and go (no timer, people come and spend their sweet time on the island) and others are timed (5 mins.) if you’re not patient and don’t want to be waiting for a dodo code to be dropped in chat some streamers give you the option to subscribe (pay real money) and host the islands for 1-2 hours just for yourself. one streamer i go to is omeganook, in case you’re looking for where to start
As a side note: if you have more than one player on an island, the first day the snowboy is made he will give all players a large snowflake and a diy (( though only the player that created him will get the subsequent large snowflakes for the next few days ))
I'm in the process of clearing my island for winter because I thought it would be a good idea to fill it entirely with pumpkins lol - thanks for the guide!!
A couple things worth noting: 1. If you destroy one snowball but have progress on the second and enter/exit a building to respawn the destroyed one, you'll still have progress on the second. With of course the possibility of a dung beetle messing with it, so you're better off making the second maximum size if you're trying the ear height method. 2. If you destroy both snowballs, entering/exiting a building also resets their respawn location if more than one area is viable.
Just a tip for people who don’t have island designer and want to do the flawless perfect snowboy path thing Get 10 boxes, or a shovel that can dig 10 holes Make two fully sized snowball things Roll them near a beach, and dig ten holes or place ten boxes (or other furniture) next to a clear path that is 100% sand Follow the path thing and you should get the same results. I think. I can’t test it because I already made today’s snowboy- er, yesterday I suppose it’s midnight.
My first snowboy in New Horizons was a perfect one. I was just moving them around and didn't look at a guide or anything and before I knew it, I had one.
I went on a website to try to make my first perfect snowboy and basically it was eyeballing it and I couldn't get it. I watch your video and try the trick you said and it worked. Thank you so much. I have been trying to get my first perfect snowboy since the game launched. 😁
A quick and dirty way I found for making a perfect snowboy was kicking about a snowball until you can push it, push it for 17 seconds. Then do the same for a second snowball but push it for 12 seconds, making sure you're pushing it onto the first snowball at the end of the 12 seconds. Not the most consistent way, but I found it worked about 90% of the time.
It looks like I need to clear a lot of paths from my first island to make a snowboy. That also puts a dent in customizing my third island since I also need space when I eventually get to winter.
It’s actually very very easy to make a perfect Snowboy.. Firstly, roll the first snowball to the maximum size...You will know when it’s maximum size since you’ll have difficulty rolling it. This is going to be the body of the Snowboy. Now, the second snowball should never be higher than the bottom of your character’s ear..The maximum height of the second snowball should be at the exact same height as your character’s earlobe or just slightly lower..This is going to be the Snowboy’s head. Now, roll the head on to the body and you should have a perfect Snowboy. Hope this helped someone.

One time I had a dung beetle on a mini snowball and didn't even notice it until I tried to push it. I regret that moment so much now because I can't find another.
Note is you accidentally destroy your snowball against a wall or river, just go in and out of a building and the snowball will respawn, you can still only make one snowboy a day though.
My trick is to make one snowball the same height as your neck!! the other should be half as big as the first snowboy!! It works most of the time without a huge hassle!!

I don’t really get why Nintendo does everything so „simple“ in ACNH bc in ACNL you had this wide variety of different snowmen and it was so cool to see which one you were building in the end. It’s just a bit frustrating to see that they made it so that it feels like another daily task to do like digging up fossils of finding the golden spot etc.

How long will you be able to make these snow boys for because I’m getting animal crossing for Christmas and they look sooo fun to make and I really hope I don’t have to miss out on another thing
