So many versions of this drink! What is your favorite recipe for the white lady? Has anybody tried all of these? Maybe a video in the future on every version? Would that be even more confusing? Does it even matter in the grand scheme of it all? Are you still reading this?
@DimitriWithLemon

I have a variation of it that i made that I love - "Blueberry Thyme White Lady" which uses a blueberry simple syrup in place of the regular, and adding drops of thyme tincture.

Your natural intuition for video content is terrific; your unique blend of history, booze pairings, spec choices, tasting notes, humor and Az interplay is very engaging. For me, I value discovering the decisions you apply to a cocktail's spec - honed over the years by countless trial and error as well as the best practices from other craftmen/women at Ward 8. There are always a few techniques, spirit options/pairings and spec alternatives you share that I find helpful as I mix cocktails at home for family and friends. Plus, I value learning about your favorite cocktails - after all the drinks you have served you've discovered good cocktails and great cocktails. Thanks for sharing your favorites. Your videos have helped me raise my home game. Keep doing what your doing.

I just tried your version right now while I'm teleworking LOL. OUTSTANDING!!!! Luckily I have the right ingredients. Awesome! Thank you... I'm a fan of Gin so its perfect for me. By the way, as a fellow Chicagoan what can we make with Malort? It's local, no one seems to know it outside Chicago, it originated in Pilsen... How Shh-caw-go can it get? Cheers

Will def try this soon. Probably this weekend. Question unrelated: can you help me understand how to use Amaretto in a way that isn’t too candy/medicine tasting. FYI I hate Dr. Pepper. Should I just avoid amaretto??

Just made the Classic White Lady for my wife and it was a hit. We have had a “bush lemon” tree in our yard for over a decade and today it’s fruit became juice and then a cocktail - it will definitely happen again. Thanks Anders, my first cocktail with an egg white. Not only am I reading your comments and viewing the videos, I’m following your recipes.

I just made a couple of these, and I think this might be my new favorite summer cocktail. It's simple, refreshing, and luxurious all at the same time thanks to the egg white. Unless you're vegan, I strongly recommend folks add the egg white. It gives body and structure to the cocktail and lends it that special umph. Thanks Anders!

Startled the daylights out of people in my house by shouting "YES" when you mentioned Cointreau instead of Triple Sec. This was one of, if not the first, gin cocktails I ever made. We had a very limited selection then, but still managed to have Cointreau as one of the mixers. I still use it as a bit of a gauge for new gins.

Something I've been wanting to comment: I really appreciate that you have a robust "playlist" where you group the different types of cocktails. Really makes it easy for me to find something if I'm looking for a Gin cocktail or something. I would love it if you started a "morning cocktail" playlist and then I would also love it if you had a "clean" cocktail playlist. The clean one would include gin/vodka (or other alcohols not high in sugars) that don't add sugar to them. I'm sure there are an abundant of cocktails like this, and I would love to see you introduce some (maybe you already have?). Anyway, love your videos, thank you.

I think this might have been the first video of yours I saw. I've finally gotten off my bum and made some creme de menthe (because it's not that easy to get it around here). Your description of the "Old" white lady is spot on. It's really lovely. But exactly what you said: mint on the nose, the orange is really subtle, the lemon is important. Great balance. Nice drink!

I think if, in the classic recipe, you replace the lemon juice with half-and-half lemon and orange you get a cocktail called "the maiden's prayer", which takes the bite off the lemon without the need of simple syrup.

The original cocktail was a miss for me, but your version was absolutely outstanding! My wife loved the original, however. I'm a huge fan of Whisky Sours, so I expected to like last week's cocktail (Artist's Special), but I hated it. I couldn't find currant to make groseille, so I had to use homemade grenadine. Maybe that's why? It had sort of a tomato juice vibe, which is probably why I didn't care for it. Still the best cocktail channel on RU-vid! Congrats on all the new subs, Anders-well deserved! Anders, greetings from Brazil! Make a recipe with Cachaça or Pinga! Do you know Caipirinha or Rabo de Galo (literally Cocktail lol)? You inspire me and I love your channel! Keep up the great content. Cheers!

Love the videos! Can you share where you get your glass bottles and pourers for your juices?

Thanks, Andy! The small bottles I use were repurposed - I don't remember what was in them initially. There are similar bottles online if you search "woozy bottles" or "mini wine bottles." Good luck!

I wouldn't normally drink cocktails but I have been binge reading Agatha Christie where everyone seems to drink a lot so I thought I'd give it a try. I surprised myself by really liking the white lady! Cheers!
