I came across your video so I decided to try it and man you are not kidding. My truck is more responsive. Thanks!!! By the way I have a 2011 F150 3.5 V6 Ecoboost that I purchased back in February.
I just tried it on my 2010 Ford Expedition Limited and it worked I was amazed. I couldn't believe it was about to spend $400 to get this fixed weather is a permanent solution I don't know but as of now it works I noticed a difference hundred percent. Thank you
I have a beautiful 2010' F-150 STX with the 4.6, nothing wrong no problem, but it myy wife's Ford Edge Sport would walk away from it! So my Query was, 'How to get more power ect.'? I tried this thinking, I have nothing to lose, can't hurt anything? Right! Well to my surprize, this did give it more throttle response and power! I don't know why, but it worked! Thank You!
fyi this isn't going to flood your engine. this is actually how you reset your throttle response. the adaptive throttle in the newer f150's do change the throttle response. if you drive like a grandma for an entire tank the throttle with actually use that as the responsiveness of the throttle. this is how you essentially reset that
Dose it matter if you take the key out and put it back in when going in between ignition turn on phase. I took the key out after I did step one and moved on to step two left the key and and did the same for step 3. Just not sure if taking the key out the one time messes it up
@@andrecummings13i have a 2015 ford f150 platinum 5.0 lt, u was wondering if i put a borla exhaust would it remove both of my catylitics? And would it turn an engine light on?
this resets whats called throttle memory (shift memory, transmission memory, etc).it goes by a few names, but anyway, this has nothing to do with making it faster. its just a hard reset basically
Hey guys I have a 2004 ford f150 4.6 and it has 220,000 miles and I was just wondering would it be useless to try spice it up or do y’all think it’s just to old of a motor
to be honest those ford don’t come with the best motor i would recommend you switch it out for a 6.0 then break it in and throw in a cam, and then switch out the transmission and put in a cold air intake and your truck will fly
I don't think this actually makes your truck faster (I own a 2011 F-150 5.0L) and I tried this on it, It seems like it did in fact increase throttle response, but I have my doubts that the trucks measurably faster because of this. I believe all this does is erase your learned driving patters from the ECM which makes the throttle respond quicker to your inputs giving you the illusion that your vehicle is faster, but its actually not, more responsive sure, but faster no. If you've driven an older vehicle with an old cable style throttle you may note that it seems significantly more responsive than a modern vehicle with an electronically controlled throttle, this only because with a cable the throttle body responds instantly to your inputs as the where a electronic throttle body will take a half a second or so to respond to what you're telling it to do. Good video though! Very helpful, nice to be able to restore throttle response so easily!
Kegan Atlas .That wont flood the engine because it is fuel injected. The older carburetor engines became flooded when the throttle was operated several times while the engine was not running.
Gerald Nordahl I had a 99 dodge ram that was fuel injected and my little sister was pusher the gas pedal and it flooded it. It fouled the plugs and stuff
Cant flood a fuel injected car, truck unless key is on,even then the pump only shoots enuf in for that moment....You would need to turn keey off and on 20 plus times to overload it but then pump just aint gonna pump what it dont need the injectors to shoot..God man, learn b4 you speak..Cant foul plugs unless engine is turning over..
Honestly thought 💭 this was a poor RU-vid joke 🤥😂 but figuring what the hell I’ll give it a shot anyways and to my amazement 😮 🫨this actually works 🤯 Thanks 🙏 just what my 4.2 V6 throttle response was needing an all for the low low cost of FREE 99 so my good sir I thank you for your kind service! 🫡
