How to Mask Scale Models with Tape Before Airbrushing - "Airbrushing with Aaron" Episode 8 

Tamiya masking tape is the best I've EVER used. I'm 52, and like most model builders my age, began using Scotch Magic tape, (green roller), and photographer's "frisket" tape back in the early '80's through '90's. 😏

Nice tutorial. Every modeler needs these tips either as new information or a refresher. Thanks for sharing.

wow really usefully Spent three months trying to get my Amati 1:200 Bismarck scale hull really smooth - its wood. Of course with ships that are Wood you want the planks to show, But Bismarck was welded steel so needed to be smooth Finally got it right Sprayed the Upper hull Sky Grey and the Lower part and Hull Hull Red (All Tamiya Acrylic) masking with no problems WAited a day for ill to dry - Marked it off the same way as the 2 separates above painted the white strip on the water line it all bled!!!!! and it all bleed!!!! ~ I did spray the whole with Humbrol Varnish which is Enamel (Hope this is what made it bleed Its taken me a week to get it right and ive sprayed the Grey now i am spraying the red and note that you build it up along the masking to seal it - Hope this will be OK Then its the White They Dark Grey for the Bow and stern THen some Camouflage as she was after destroying the Hood. Hope its all OK!!!! Thanks great Video From someone who has done it before
