2 yr old video and I’m now watching this. I recently decided I wanted to go vegan, 2 weeks to be exact. I already feel amazing!!! Back in 2012 I was diagnosed with pre diabetes and it was a scare for me, being that my mother is type 1 diabetic, so I decided to go vegan to get her aboard on this vegan life style.
Y'all bring Tab back to the room. I really enjoyed this segment sharing easy vegan recipes for meal prep. So many of us have hereditary conditions that could be fixed or alleviated by modifying our diets. Our parents or the home we come from don't know everything about healthy living so it's so great to get advice from people who have tried and tested these methods and who have been living a healthy lifestyle. Is this a race issue? I'm white and as far as I'm aware, white people love meat and many won't be converted to vegetarianism. I think meat eating is pretty universal, unfortunately. I am trying to go veggie - may I ask you Mrs Magical Monica - what kinds of vegetarian meals do you make most often? I live alone and I'm not much of a cook, so I would love a few reliable, easy go-to supper ideas if you have any up your magical sleeve, lol! Thanks in advance.
Hey, glamdolly20. I would not label it a “race issue” but more of a cultural difference. Lately, I have been making a lot of dishes in my Instant Pot (soup, curry, mashed potatoes, pasta). Search vegan or vegetarian Instant Pot recipes on RU-vid and you’ll find plenty. Other great RU-vidrs for vegan dishes are Rachel Alma and Hot for Food (Lauren Toyota).

I currently eat salmon, variety of fish, shrimp and baked chicken with a good helping of vegetables. And I definitely love to include garden salad. But this gives me more options and know how to knowledge! Thanks so much! I am now 57-years old and since I changed my lifestyle and diet I must agree that I feel great!
i think that whole spring mix gone bad is a setup lol, cuz it's not meant to be stored in the container they sell it in. if it goes bad, they pry figure we'll buy more. i give mines a quick wash, dry it in the salad spinner and wrap in damp paper towels in a ziploc. it only takes 5 minutes, cuz I hate to waste food

@@yolovesgud my holistic doctor looked at the pupils in my eyes and said "oh you stopped eating meat!" That was 17 years ago...never went back to eating meat. Doctors can sometimes detect diseases by looking into your eyes.

I love her meals they’re so easy to make and not all these weird superfoods that I can’t afford. Also they’re really balanced which is so important in veganism. Unfortunately a lot of vegans on RU-vid don’t do it well and almost treat it as a way to restrict themselves😑

Video transcription+my own recommendations (if you don’t have rice cooker) sauté onions+garlic+butter/oil in pot add quinoa & toast on med heat until golden brown add salted water or low sodium veggie broth cook according to package instructions (mine is ~15min) grain bowl: baking sheet of chopped sweet potatoes (w paprika, cumin) baking sheet of broccoli baking sheet of peppers baking sheet of chickpeas (chili powder, paprika, cumin) sprinkle all w garlic powder, salt drizzle w neutral oil roast for 20-25 min 425°F is best for roasting, these veggies roast at slightly different speeds so check halfway bolognaise: food processor-celery, carrot, onion, garlic (i add zucchini too) process walnuts & set aside add to pot w drizzle of oil, parsley, basil, oregano stir while prepping sauce for grain bowl process basil, arugula, salt, lemon juice, water, garlic, walnuts, olive oil into a sauce transfer to jar mix tahini, water, lemon juice, salt, maple syrup in jar once veggies are soft, add a lil tomato paste until it’s golden brown add veggie stock, minced walnuts from earlier, tomatoes (i like diced canned as well as fresh), salt, lentils stir and cover reduce heat, let simmer for 35min boil water for pasta tofu scramble: crumble tofu into pan low sodium soy sauce, nutritional yeast, garlic powder, pinch of black salt, turmeric, black pepper once cooked, add spinach mixed greens (put paper towel on top to keep fresh in fridge) -spinach/spring mix, cucumber, carrot, tomato, hemp -i like to add any extra quinoa, seasoned w lemon pepper add red wine+salt to bolognaise -red wine substitute: red wine vinegar & water in 1:1 ratio let cook down for 10min add pasta to boiling water -salt the water like the SEA sweet potatoes w tofu scramble & roasted red pepper quinoa, chickpeas, broccoli, half w sweet potato, half w red pepper, half w pesto, half w tahini sauce noodles w bolognaise on top & side salad -substitute w veggie noodles -add pesto sauce on pasta -mix roasted veggies w pasta

I have been thinking of going vegan for health reasons but was afraid I wouldn't have any flavor and I've searched several websites and this is the only one I've found that has my kind of food and flavor! I can't wait to try these recipes!!
I make what I call Rainbow Sandwiches all the time with greens, beets, carrots, and multicolored peppers! That could probably be made into a bowl pretty easily.
I need to tell people this! I injured my back pretty severely 6 weeks ago. I've been in A&E twice, 6 doctors, physio... the pain was not subsiding. I listened to Tabitha and been plant based (plus fish) for 12 days. My physio told me he couldn't believe the difference in my inflammation. I'm so shocked, I'm still on the mend but I can vouch for this! Plant based works for inflammation!!!
@Desired Family Health And Wellness you poor thing :( I wish you well on your road to recovery. Keep on the plant based PLUS FISH diet (if you so wish). Fish for the heart has so many benefits. I'm an asthmatic so the heat can be tough, salt mines if you can find one and tiger balm at night clears the airways
You so need to do a cooking show ! We need to normalize healthy eating . Children eat way to much take out along with parents .If ppl could see how easy this is to do more would make the change ! We would all add many more years to our lives .❤
I'm going vegan for the environment and watching this has encouraged me so much they were both so cheerful and comforting throughout the video its making this whole vegan process seem so much happier and easier xx

Oh my gosh. Where have you been my whole life? I love that you make everything from scratch. So many people use pre-made products and just throw them together, which can get expensive and unhealthy. Your way of cooking is wholesome and surprisingly inexpensive. Thank you for the advice, smiles and the video altogether.
I’m not vegan but I love eating vegan meals and recipes sometimes it is very good! So tasteful and I actually feel better and feel lighter with my body weight immediately vs if I went to Popeyes or Chick-fil-A for lunch. I always get this heavy feeling after I eat that kind of stuff! But I noticed that when I eat vegan recipes they really taste good and having me feeling full without feeling overweight and greasy.
I don't label myself as vegan or vegetarian, I just love eating plant based meals, in my youth never like meat, I'm in 50 decided take meat out little by little my body feels better not heavy, my digestive tract works amazing, I'm looking 25 yrs younger, I on new health clean eating journey, I will be watching you Tabitha, thanks for ideas 👍

I watched a few vegan cooking videos, but this is the most fun one ever! I am really thinking that I need to at least add more plant based meals to my diet and these looked delicious!
