That's not ridiculous! I totally get that. I started gaming on consoles, so transitioning to PC and then modding was really intimidating to me at first. But even though mods can "break" games occasionally, 99% of the time, there is a fix that just requires a little work (and while it can be frustrating to hunt the problem down, it can also be fun to problem-solve and figure it out). So yes, there is always a bit of risk when modding, but there are things you can do to protect yourself from heartache like making a copy of your old saves and keeping them on an external hard drive or flash drive before you get started, going into Steam (if that's what you're using) and accessing the game Properties to make a backup of your files in case you need to restore to that point, and if things really go wrong somehow, you can always reinstall the game fresh. And if you need any help, I'm here to answer questions! ☺

Does the error message say anything else? There are a couple common culprits that could be fixed by verifying your game files in Steam (which I assume you're using?) or by making sure that your Override folder is in the Documents path and not OneDrive/Documents, but it really depends.

@PosiCobra I make it work, but now the game doesn't start. It's shows me the window to clic "play" and after that nothing happens.

@PosiCobra at the end, I refund the game on Steam and buy it on origin directly and it works. Now, I need to try again and see if I can apply the moods, etc. Thank you for the quick response.
