How to open a bottle of kombucha - and how not to do it 

This video is a comedic masterpiece... The shattering glass and the perfect cut to show the kombucha dripping off the ceiling was like something out of a sitcom. The dry, deadpan reaction to the whole event makes it even funnier. I was hoping the second bottle would explode too 💀

A great example of thinking outside the box. A bottle doesn't always need to be opened straight.

My wife bought Kombucha from nearby supermarket and it exploded at the counter. It was bottled in glass bottle. Unfortunately she cut her finger during explosion and luckily supermarket staff handled the accident like pro. We learnt our lesson :-)

I've been told that we shouldn't Brew kombucha in anything--but glass. Maybe it's okay to carbonated in plastic?

When opening mine I make sure that it's ice cold first. I notice that the bubbling isn't as crazy.

i dont understand. i dont know why kombucha home brewer just blindly bottle their brew without knowing the sugar level remaining in brew. a refractometer is not that expensive

I notice you're using plastic bottles (!!) I thought the glass ones with flip top lid were the best? Are these special plastic brewing bottles?
