I simply show you how to take apart and open the HP cs-15 series laptop to gain access to the internals in the case you need to service the or change any internal components.
My old gal had been acting weird lately, with sudden hard drive problems. Finally got it open safely thanks to this video and got it clean. That's all it took, and she's now fully functional again :D Thanks.
I'm only part way 'round removing the back. Thank you so much for advising to be careful, how to apply pressure, and to use a credit card. I might have used my Swiss Army knife as I had no clue how to attack the issue. The HP folks didn't address the step of opening the back; just saying to remove the battery.
Just bought a hp 17. Construction looks more or less the same. This is super helpful. Thank you so much!! Instead of my credit card better use a supermarket bonus card😅
First video for my HP which has the four rubber feet. I especially like using the credit card and showing the care you have use to remove case and replace the battery. I appreciate it.
Finally got my son's laptop open and now I can do what I need to do .. I would have not figured out the placement of the hidden screws without your video.. Thank you much, And please continue to put up helpful information up ..
@@VulpesAllium yea it was i guess, mostly i think i did it because it was overheating a lot in result of not being able to function properly. idk i dont remember. u r comentong on a comment that is older than some people
@@exodoalcunhaabridordemares Well, I'm experiencing that issue so I'm trying to find someone who experienced something similar. A loud buzzing sound that occurred every second.
Thanks for sharing!! I have the exact same hp model, color and all. Today when I turned it back on, it powered off automatically and has not turned back on. I want to see if its the battery because I noticed it was draining a lil too fast. I hope it's an easy fix!!
@Hook It Up Thank you for this tutorial, i was working on a customers laptop and i ended up using an old credit card & spudger wedge to help save my fingernails, lol!!
Thank you so much for advising to use a credit card, apply pressure and not just slide the credit card. I found it hard to open the casing and used a screw driver, causing dents. Thank you.
Thanks for showing. That case drove me insane though. I was so annoyed that I lost patience. It has now some broken hooks. But it‘s my property and not my main computer, so I took the risk of some scratches. The battery didn‘t even last 2 years, so I will never buy an HP again.
The back of this HP's case looks just like that. Why is the one I'm working on acting like it has glue in the middle around the battery? It feels like it's going to break in the middle of the case if I keep on pulling.
I can't get mine open with the credit card. Where can I get a pry tool that's this slim? Suggestions? Thanks for the video. Very helpful and I appreciate the warnings.
I get a vibration noise when I move my laptop. It does not have a hard drive so only the fan would be the moving part (right?) I followed you helpful video and can't see anything loose. What do you think it might be?
hello, What model is your laptop because I see it has two fans, one for the processor and the other for the graphics card? I have a hp cs0003la i7-8550U mx150 4gb 12ram but I have not opened it and I want to know if it also has 2 fans.
I've just repaired this same model, it was a liquid spill, my client brought it to me just in time before the corrosion got really bad. Everything works except the screen, bright in the center and dark everywhere else. Have you ever replaced a screen on one of these? I know they are very new, I removed the bezel but can't get the screen out.
Yes I have fixed one. However, I can't remember really well, but I believe the actual screen is held in by 6 screws which are also shared by the wifi antenna.
Helpful video but I had to use a small regular screwdriver to pry only at the first hinge. Maybe my credit card wasn't stiff enough. After that it was straightforward.
Thank you so much. I cleaned my laptop and now the number keys and backspace button won’t work properly. My laptop is password protected so I can’t get it in now. The backspace button is the only one working now but when I press it it puts a bunch of numbers as my pin. I realized the bottom farthest away from the screen was lifting up a little bit so I followed this video after googling solutions for the buttons not working. PLEASE help. I opened it but idk what to do now. I even dried the keyboard just in case there was water but still nothing. I will give any additional info for help.
Hi Hook It Up, thank you for the video, I came across it while troubleshooting a "SSD not detected" error (turned out it was a case of dirty contacts). Your instructions were quick and helpful, and got me out of a pinch (as well as a mini-heart attack - my dissertation was at stake :P). Cheers from the East Coast!
Thanks helpful to get in, but suprised to find that the hdd slot has been replaced with a bigger battery, so much for adding a hdd into this 15-cs2039na laptop.
My hp laptop model is 15s eh-2018au. Can you please tell me whether my laptop has additional SSD or hard drive slot or not? I want to upgrade my storage
I have the same laptop, can i ask where is the cmos battery in this model? Coz i can't find it, i want to change mine because im having trouble with mine when booting up
I'm looking for an upgrade to the graphics card and processor on mine, would anyone know what I should get to do that? Also if so, how difficult would it be to install the new parts?
