The road can be used as an airstrip in emergencies and the lines are to show the start and finish. There's no towns for hundreds of kilometres at that point.

The road is pretty wide at that point, in the Baisin just before Madura Pass. You still get damn close to the wide load though.

The wide loads always try to get you around them in open country like that. I've never been stuck behind one for too long.

James Campbell Prob about 90 k's, this is a good road, you should see some of the narrow roads up north where there are a lot more of these big loads.

The lines are the start of an emergency airstrip which they use the road for. You can see the yellow sign just before you get to them.
