Just some GoPro footage I forgot about. Better videos to follow. This is north of Newman in the Pilbara of Western Australia overtaking a 8 metre (26ft) wide dump truck going to the iron ore mines. Truck is my 1980 Kenworth K124CR with CAT 3408 and 2 trailers at 79 tonnes gross weight.
Busy road never seen that much traffic anywhere there ! Since you are a flatbed guy I was told that if you put a twist in a strap you can be fined by a transport inspector? Here in the US we do it all the time to prevent them vibrating . Is this true ? The reason it makes them less strong I’m in the trucking biz never had that told to me .
@ryan I only do about 100,000 kms a year nowadays but I’ve been through a couple of speedometers, so I’d have to look through the books to find the exact amount.
Good to see you're still rolling with that CAT rig👍 up here in UK we wouldn't be able to use it due to all the emissions rules we have. Love that CAT V8 keep it rolling👍
Its perfect. Posted a question in your "Spicer video" elsewhere... but wanted to ask...could you do a detailed walkaround of your vehicle showing the componends like engine, transmission and any extra goodies you have on it that is typical for Australia? Keep up the great work, love this channel...
