How to paint a body kit! Today we are working on how to paint a KBD body kit. This body kit is for a LS swapped miata and the kit is perfect for the drift car! I go through the entire process of how to paint the kit from start to finish and also keep in mind that this is a used kit so it is not perfect by any means. Bode is the LS swap master! Do more front to rear wheel drive swaps to add real value. LS in a rear drive platform is relatively easy.

Adam that kit looks superb and I know how much trouble you had with it the first time round I think as an overall look it must be the colour but it looks better than Taylor's. As I said it must be the blue.

Assuming your using solvent, do you really need a sealer if you use a light primer with light colors and dark primer for dark colors? Iv been lucky in the past not using a sealer but always wonder if something may show thru. Or are you using waterborne?

Jake Clauson I’m using the sealer since the entire car will get sealer. I want to keep the color as consistent as possible. If your primer is perfect you don’t need sealer

what kind of sealer do u like>? and i notice they have enamel sealer and urethane sealer. am i correct to assume enamel for enamel paint and urethane for urethane paint??

So you used a gray sealer but how much of a difference in color would there be if you used a black or white?

the color difference would be subtle but enough to see if they were right next to each other. If its a full car that youre spraying the sealer can be whatever color you want as long as its the same on all panels.
