Beautiful wheel color. I used to be all about black wheels, but they tend to hide the wheel design too much. Bronze strikes the best balance between a darker wheel that still stands out.
Exactly what I was looking for. Definitely will be throwing on a coat of black first like you did to darken it up. Looks fantastic. Thank you for up loading.
I just picked up a set of Avid wheels that sadly have a bit of light curb rash. I was hoping to have them powder coated but the shops around here want 600 to 800 to do it. This is my second option and plus I will have the satisfaction of doing it myself. Great color, awesome cars. Thanks for the video.
Bad ass. Literally looking to paint new (used) black wheels gold/bronze and was wondering if I should leave barrel black or try to paint that gold/bronze also...love leaving it black! Thanks. Now I'm motivated.
Hello everything is fine ? I had this bronze paint made, only in spray, and can I spray it with black paint ready to use? Or do I have to order it? If I apply black it won't give me a reaction?
Beautiful colour but I don't think it's Tommo Bronze like quoted in video description. Tried it and comes out completely different. Very pale beige metallic rather than rich copper-ish tint. Does anyone know which paint was actually used here?
would you recommend taping over the black barrel end of the wheel when spraying the front of the wheel bronze? I would think one can get over spray on the inside of the wheel , great gun control by the way.
Those came out beautiful 😍. What paint and color you went with? I know it says bronze but wonder how much of a difference is the gold paint instead of bronze.
@@xxcxpl I've used cans plently of times you just never get quite as good of a finish but plently good enough for wheels. Just works out a tad more expensive for the material in cans rather than a tin of paint. I would go to a professional paint shop for your cans rather than generic shop/ebay as they always tend to spray better
Quick question, I don’t want to ruin the stock color of my 370z rays just in case I decide to sell them but I really want them this color.. should I just go for it and powder coat them or use plastidip? I’m leaning towards plastidip but I’ve had bad experience with it peeling back and not coming off right on a set of wheels I got for free.
Personally if I had a set of rays I wouldn't touch them if they are in good condition. Saying that this bronze is close to the rays colour but not exact. And Im not a fan of the finish that plastic dip gives 👍
Hey bro! Nice looking wheels, just curious what you did during the spraying process for the bronze, did you tape up the back where the black is, or is there a little bit of overspray from having nothing blocking the inner of the rim?
@@TheDIYTuners So glad I took your word, just finished painting my rays, oh my god you were 100% right it blends so well with the black and the over spray is just 👌🏽
Hi. Fan of japanese cars here, mainly Mazda s and Mitsu :D I always wanted an RX7 but at the moment got some financial priorities and only run a 2015 Mazda 6 estate in red :D Is there any chance I could have a ride i this beauty even as a passenger? Willing to pay for your time and petrol :P I live North West London but can travel wherever needed in the UK :D Discovered your channel just now while looking how to paint wheels in bronze ( thinking for my Mazda mainly) and was so happy to see this being done on an RX7 :D Please reply. Cheers.
Hey man yh always happy to take people for a blast that have a passion for cars. I live a significant distance from London though and car rarely sees the road in these cold months but when summer comes around I attend a few shows etc
@@TheDIYTuners Thanks for replying. Yes, not ideal to take it on salty cold roads. I hope we stay in touch and chat around summer for a meet at one lf these car meets :D Meanwhile Im going to enjoy your channel:D
@@TheDIYTuners Are you still taking it out on the road? Do you ever go to Caffeine and Machine between Bham and Oxford in Ettington? Might be there this weekend, I am looking after a gentleman 2 weekends a month with spinal injury and he just got a Golf 4 gti 25 th anniversary that we take out. Also I’ll be in Walsall this Friday. I don’t know how far that is from you.
It might work but would take days and would have to ensure you got into every crevise otherwise it will just peel. Then you will prob need to use a filler primer and flat back as 80 grit scratches will be visable through paint
Awesome vid 👍 How long does it take to blast each of the wheels? The wheels look really good in bronze 😮 Gonna paint my original wheel on the Rx7 as I can't decide which ones I want 😆😆
Thanks mate. I would say each wheel had around 20 seconds of blasting maximum. Have to be quick so it doesn't take paint off and just gives it that rough finish
Hey mate, I have a Mitsubishi Evo 9 and you have inspired me to repaint me wheels with colour she looks beautiful and sexy mate. Do you know what the colour code is?
