I wish I would've watched this video the moment I decided to join the military. I have one more try to take the ASVAB or else I will need to take it in 6 months. I did not realize what I was getting into until I went to MEPS and realized how serious it is. I somewhat blame it on my recruiter for not preparing me or giving me the knowledge, I needed before getting to MEPS. Thankfully, the MEPS atmosphere gave me a feeling of what it is like to be in the army. After my second fail, I bought the ASVAB for dummies 2022-2023 edition book and also the ASVAB plus prep 2022-2023. And boy, there is hundreds of pages but contain such valuable information. Currently, I do modeling, but I decided to join the army and while it will be a major change in my life, I am sure that this is what I want to do. Thank you so much for this video. I was also told not to study too much so that is why I failed the ASVAB at MEPS.

I got a 63 on my ASVAB and ended up with CTR as my rate (last December), and now leaving for basic in 20 days. :)

Study only the knowledge required for your job and pass it. Because you are not gaurantee that you will get the job u wanted. they are filling holes in each ratings. They will also include your physical exam score to the job they will offer u. If ur hearing is really good then they will put you on that job that fits the description.

thanks for your advice I studied a bunch my recruiter gave me a practice test and recommended me the asvab for dummies studied guidebook. the first time I took the practice test i got a 9 and the next times were 24 and now 36 it works but I'm a very slow learner.

You improved by 266% on the 2nd attempt then got a 150% improvement on the 3rd attempt. You did something right because that is an amazing improvement. You are 4 times better than you were in the beginning. Keep using those study habits to get to the top.

i passed with a 44 but i am going Army. they said the line scores are pretty important also if any of you guys are wondering so try not to guess so much on the other subtest cause that’ll determine your eligibility for a good job.

@@itjustxpain6060 i tried bro but they said firefighter is the most rarest position or mos to achieve. It’s rarely and i mean “ rarely “ open. If you want to though you need like a MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE (MM) score of 88. If firefighter isn’t available, what job will you choose?

Just FYI the ASVAB limits you on the upper and lower end. If you score too high, you wont be able to get the lower jobs.

I finally passed my ASVAB thanks to Mr Clark who helped me with his tutoring.He has good tips and questions for everyone willing to join his group.I was recommended to him by a friend even though it took me time to trust in him but at the end I was happy for the good work.I want to take this opportunity to tell you all to join him and trust in him despite the process.Thanks to him I had 89AFQT.After five attempt unsuccessful I finally made it.

ive been in contact with a recruiter and im procrastinating on taking the asvab because im this close to stupid 👌 im more scared of failing than getting a low score because to me thats a plus. I will be getting the book you recommended because just maybe it will help and i can potentially prove myself wrong. I will update you when i take a practice test and the real test. Thank you! Also i will be dropping a sub and can you tell us more about your bootcamp experience if you haven’t. Im A LOT more athletic than smart and i feel like i will do good in bootcamp

Oh you got this! Try watching RU-vid videos and just take a ton of practice test. That’s what I did! But yes, you have to have a well rounded ability with taking tests and working out. You take a couple of exams in Boot Camp to pass as well

Hi think I got a 20 on the practice test and then I study for two months every day and then got a 64 I think. I believe in you. Just make sure you are taking practice tests online and buy one of the asvab study books. I linked one in the description!!!

Got a 44 on the asvab :) and line scores were, GT90, CL98, CO102, EL104, FA103, GM104, MM102, OF101, SC105, ST106. I can join as the medical job I've wanted. Hehe I studied for only one week. Which is either radiology technician or medical laboratory technician

Hey! This is exactly what I want to do too! I’m kinda new learning about usaf / asvab, so the requirement for diagnostics imaging is G44, is this the number of combines verbal expression and the arithmetic reasoning? Or is it the actual overall asvab score? I don’t really understand it / what I need to make in each section required for me to meet the radiology requirement of g44.. also if you can give any tips or how the questions were like that would be helpful

@@Minutecobbler heyyy. Yes so you'll need to study arithmetic reasoning and verbal expression which is word knowledge. And you'll score good! I got a G51 for the airforce. But I didn't really like their uniforms so that's why I went army. But you'll also need to make sure you have your highschool transcript shows that you took biology, algebra and chemistry. As that's also a requirement I think. Watching grammar hero videos will help you alot. As I only studied math for only 2 days with his video. But I spent most my time studying general science and mechanical comprehension for one week. So if you have some basic knowledge of math. A week or so should do you as well

OK take a step back and don’t put so much pressure on yourself. You have as much time as you need before you go and test again. Start with one subject, go over that for a few days and then move onto the next. Constantly be taking practice test. I know it seems like the end of the world, but just take a step back, relax and realize you have all the time that you need. Even if you don’t go into the Navy immediately when you get out of high school!

I took the PiCat and got a 21 the next day I took the ASVAB and got a 19 😭…this was a couple weeks ago, ever since that I’ve been studying like crazy using grammar hero but it just won’t drill into my head like is there any other way to study and I don’t wanna get a tutor cuz there a ripped off….My only chance of passing at this point is by pure luck. Any help would be nice 🙏 I’m trying to join the Marines I could really care less what job, as long as I’m a marine that’s pretty much all I care about and yes that might sound stupid to some but I’m joining the Marines not because of the job opportunities but because its something to be proud about and something not everyone can be.

Just wanted to say I took mine 2 days ago and I got a 29, I needed a 31. I didn't study that much but I did a little bit but keep studying! Focus on all math, english and the science. That's what my recruiter told me and if you score well in those you will be golden.

That's because you have to learn years before you even do firefighting, or jus t study straight for a year in a firefighting academy

So I took the asvab test and got 42 but my recruiter told me before moving forward I need to score 60. Does taking the asvab for 2nd time was harder?

He told me that too. They take your most recent score, so if you take it and do worse, they won’t take the highest score. But I did it anyway and scored 10 points higher. I studied harder. I would suggest maybe getting a tutor or something. Don’t let your recruiter scare you into not trying again

I took my piecat and scored a 52. For 68 W I needed a 107 in GT and a 101 in ST and I got a 98 GT and 95 ST luckily it was the piecat so my recruiter scratched the score and I’m taking the real one in the next few weeks but I’m really nervous because I wanna qualify for this job so bad but I’m worried I’m not gonna get the qualifying score.

It’s the book that has helped me!!! At the end of the day, you have to do what is best for you. But I got this book and completed it along with multiple online practice exams, and I got the score I wanted for the rate that I want it!

My recruiter is telling me i can score a 26 on the Asvab and join the Navy. Im aiming much higher but say if I get that low do you know what type of jobs a person could possibly get with that score?

hi! I know there have been some people from Thailand and Guatemala that were in bootcamp with me , so I know it is possible. But I am not sure if the diplomas translate over. Have you been able to speak to a recruiter?

@@ShaeTaylorLife no, I haven’t spoken to a recruiter. But I assume if a non US Citizen joined the US Military then the equivalent to a diploma must apply. Hopefully I would be able to get in tho and actually gain citizenship as I am interested in Army Aviation but I would need to be a warrant officer to be a pilot. Anyways. Thank you :)

You can just take the ASVAB. If you go to a recruiter, they will most likely make you take the practice test though

Theres a lot of similar questions, however the word knowledge that are on the book, you’ll see on the ASVAB, just study and memorized your answers.

For the ASVAB? you can retake it three times if you wait one month in between each try, so I would definitely try to get the highest score in and make sure you pick a couple of rates that you’re interested in! No. The actual test is about the same. Study, study , study!!! And get the book I suggested in the description:) it really helps

Test is not the same as the practice. The test is a little more difficult vs the practice test. Study as much as you can because the test is created for 12 grade level high school students. If you haven't paid attention in school or lacked some type of school ethics you wont pass. That's just the honest truth. Study English and Math sections because those will help you pass. Guessing doesn't help because you can only answer 45 questions wrong out of 145 so the ratio isn't good enough to guess. Good luck...

Are you in touch with any recruiters? I would suggest trying to find a tutor or purchasing the ASVAB Study guide book that I have linked in my ASVAB video. You can do it! I know it’s challenging in a lot of pressure, but if you put in the time and enough studying, you can do anything you set your mind to
