This is seriously the best method to install screen protectors. I highly recommend doing this in the bathroom as well as there is usually less dust flying around in there. Less likely to get dust landing on the screen as you pull off the first layer.
This method is one hell of a method to apply screen protectors on your iPod Touch or iPhone. Thanks for showing this method on the RU-vid. Helped out a lot . 5 star.
Wow... you have the best instructions on applying a screen protector. I followed your instructions for the "hinge method" and when I finished I thought that I mistakenly removed the protective layer because it was applied PERFECTLY... not one bubble! Thanks....
Wow, thank you very much. I spent an hour and I wasted a screen protector trying to apply before I decided to look up a RU-vid tutorial on how to apply a screen protector. Watched this video and finished it in 3 minutes, now it looks perfect.
I'm going to go buy a roll of that tape, this is simplicity at it's finest, thanks for sharing your idea I truly appreciate it I've been battling the lining up part but I thing the battle is over thanks to you, ditto on the freaking genius remark
Wish I would've watched this before I cracked my screen. Procrastinated after I removed the old screen protector; even tho I could've received a new replacement free. That being said , I loved how easy you made this look ! Kudos to you !!!
Wow, I just put a new screen protector on my iPhone using this method. It didn't take long to do, and it came out perfectly! Not one single bubble or bit of lint under the screen. Thanks so much for posting this!
Whoa, I thought the MediaDevil video was good, but this takes the cake. I still suggest having some sticky tape to retrieve dust, possibly on the end of a pencil or letter opener sticky side out, just in case something sneaks in. And using a box cutter razor to lift a corner if necessary, with tweezers to hold it instead of your fingers. But this hinge method is the closest I've ever seen to almost 100% preventing dust intrusion. Great idea, thank you thank you.
I used this method to install a new screen protector on my iPhone. So much more precise!! I was able to do my first bubble free install. Thanks so much!
Used this on a screen protector I had already peeled the back off of. I was able to get all the air bubbles out and all but on little dust speck that isn't even on the viewing screen. Fantastic method!
Thanks for this, worked perfectly! Previously, never managed to get the alignment quite right on the first go and any attempts at repositioning usually ended up with dust getting in.
Excellent, I used to make 2 tape rolls to handle the screen protector easily inserting my fingers, but your idea of the hinge is even better. Thanks !!
2 mistakes in this video. 1. After pulling the bottom plastic off, quickly smack down the screen protector to prevent any dust from falling on screen. 2. If there is like one piece of dust under screen, don't lift up screen protector to remove it. This will just cause more dust to get under the screen protector.
It would depend on where you do it... the ideal is to perform this in a dust-free room, hopefully somewhere like a bathroom where the humidity level won't allow too much dust in the air. Now, I also noticed he took out the bit of dust that got stuck with a piece of tape, does that actually work? I've usually removed them with plain water lol
just took me 8 mins .. really helpful video man thank you .. searched alot on youtube and your's was the most effective and easiest .. one guy was wetting the back side saying the water helps the bubbles disappear better LOL
The result would depend on how well the user keep out dust while applying the screen but it is smart to use tape to hold one side of screen in its place first. Danggg... why didn't I think of that. VERY SMART, thnx for this great tip :-)
Thanks for the demo! However, in the very end if you look carefully there is a very big long bubble and some others near it, so that's a bit discouraging.
i got a xtreme guard and it uses water and soap for the install. Have you done one of this if not can you make a video to show how. really would appreciated... Thanks great video
Do you think this method will work on my HTC ONE S..? Would be bad if I tried and it all got messed up! It´s like throwing money in the lake. But do you think it will work?
your probably could but painters tape is probably the best idea cause its not to strong of an adhesive so you dont have to worry about residue left on your for or pulling the screen shield up when removing it after
Also shake dry and apply dont worry if there is a lil bit of water still remaining you can push it out with credit card and those work better then the lil one they come with
I can get them on straight... what pisses me off is microscopic dust particals that screw it up! However i found that the harder plastic ones are washable! just use water and whipe with hand while washing... and no it doesnt take the stickiness off
I use alcohol. Clean the area spray a little alcohol on the screen apply protector move it into position scrape out bubbles and let dry. Perfect everytime
