Today we will cover how to program an Engine Computer in GM vehicles 1996-Present using a VXDiag tool. There are many guides on youtube most of which are out of date (USING SPS1) so here is the latest information using the current and legit software. The method in this video is very easy and inexpensive, and no need to go to the dealership. Performed with a 2002 Cadillac Deville, a razer blade laptop, and a VXDiag VCI.

Yooo good looking out man. Was having issues with all the BS software that these thing come with, didn't realize it was this simple! Got my 2006 ion pcm flashed and working flawlessly.

You can also use the VXDiag to program the key, that's what I did and it only took 10 mins. Plus I didn't have to babysit it.

Thanks for this video. Very informative. When you programmed the used ecm, did you have to input the car VIN so that the new ecm will get the car VIN or will the SPS2 input the car VIN into the ecm? Asking because I am trying to install a good used SRM module into a caddy.

Great video, helped me get through the set up. Only issue I’m running into now is that I keep getting an error message when I’m trying to replace & reprogram a bcm. I keep getting error 4399 in techline. Any tips on this?

I installed just the pass thru and the vxmanager program will launch but with a blank screen. Click any button and it crashes. Did you install anything else?

Hi, is that a used ECU from another car? Or do we need to buy a brand new ECU?

Hey if you are going to program modules on a car install vxmanager only do not install the software that would be included with the device. The License renawal will not be needed if you use the official acdelcotds.
