Hey guys, another support video for those of you wanting to understand programming the CTL function on the SY-1000. The GT-1000 GT-001 etc has a very similar architecture so some of you may benefit from watching this if you're just starting out using those units too.
I've got a few more videos planned on the SY-1000 (as it's such monster of machine) but once they are done I'm looking forward to releasing some more music on here very soon. I have a backlog of about 10 tunes... I just need to get around to recording them all.

Wow... super useful thank you very much...the SY-1000 is great. Just got a Roland GR-55 by the way .... would really appreciate an in depth demo if at all possible please.

Thank you for the lesson. I have the GR55, also got the VG8 when it first appeared. My guess is that the modeling on the sy1000 is close if not equal to the GR55 modeling.

My pleasure Mike. Yes the modelling is definitely up there with the GR- if not slightly 1 step on. For example there are some new models, Wide Range Humbucker for example, which has a really interesting Character... and of course the whole synth side which I'll be delving into in the coming videos. @@AlexHutchingsMusic thank you Alex. The sy1000 audio is hi-res 32bit48khz acording to the sy1000 product information on roland us web page. It sure would be nice to hear a few of those hi-res modeling sounds to compare to the GR55 ito determine If a purchase of the sy1000 is needed in the near future ( read stimulus check)

Do you have any idea how to setup the SY-1000 to be controlled by the Roland FC-300 so we have volume and wah capabilities etc.? This is a very powerful combination but having trouble making it work as I am not versed in midi setup. Thanks

Hey mate The amp tone is actually coming from the SY-1000 pedal itself.. i.e using the built in Amp modelling. The Microphone I'm using is a Neumann U87 but this is just for my voice. Thx for watching. All the best

Hey Richard thanks very much.. This is a Fender GC-1 Start, an official collaboration with Fender however unfortunately this particular model is discontinued but I'm there'll be the odd second hand one floating around on ebay or something. All the best.

Hello Alex, very useful indeed and as I said a process that I will be going through soon myself hopefully. Sorry, don't wish to add to the workload, but can I ask about delay fx in the SY1000, will I be able to set different delay times for the left and right channels? I have seen that with the DD 500 you can do this for true stereo delay. Many thanks, Daniel.

No problem Daniel, glad you enjoyed it. The answer is yes you can have different Delay times... Up to 6 in fact... ;-) Not that anyone would probably need quite that many...🤣Cheers for now.

Wow, that's amazing, incredible!...(yes 6 would be overdoing it I think😂), but, different delay times, tick, use the sequencer in odd time sig's, tick. Nice, I like it!

What. Boss sy 1000 is good device, unfortunately it is impossible to add some examples. Are you planning to make such kind of devices in the future? I would like that this device's were riched more functions, like samplers, in order to get other instruments sounds.
