Thanks for the great video presentation. It is always a pleasure to watch you play! One question: as I could briefly note from the video, you need to install the special GK-3 pickup to make the thing work. I presume it is a BOSS pickup?

Stellar playing and review - oh the possibilities! Thinking to throw the GK + SY-1000 on a guitar with a tremolo bar and sustaniac pickup. Do you have any insight how well these would work with the system?

Alex do you offer patch downloads for various guitars? Such as Les Paul, rickenbacker and rickenbacker12 string, jazz gretsch style,etc?? I know you’re a master at tweaking patches so that’s why I’m asking?

Are there any artifacts or latency with alternate tunings as there are with the Drop Pedal and others?

I was at a gig once with the GP-10 and my strat low e string was out so I tuned it up, then all the pickups sounded the same, then I realised it was a strat model in drop d. True story.

this is fantastic overview as usual Alex! Can the alternate tunings be applied to a 12 string as well? That is something I miss in my GR55..For example if I want to play Hotel California in the original Em shape using a 12 string transposed 7 steps up to a Bm! Is that possible?

Hello Alex, does the Boss SY-1000 have the same problems with the switching delay as the Roland GR55? Especially in modelled guitar mode .

Can it do a proper 12-string emulation? I've tried a couple of pedals that supposedly accomplish that, but they never do. They just sound organ-like.

If my strings are physically tuned to drop C instead of standard tuning, will that cause any problems while using the GK3 in terms of the algorithm of the modelled tunings?

Nice demo, I have been thinking of buying a used VG99 but am curious if SY1000 is the update to the VG99 plus a bunch of synth stuff thrown into the box as well. I am curious if the SY1000 has the same routing ability of the VG99 or improved. I am assuming the SY1000 has better dsp capabilities . Great playing as usual, Alex. I've seen demos of the SY1000 and was not impressed by all of the fizzy sounding presets of synth stuff but after watching your demo I am impressed by the guitar sounds, which is what I'm looking for. I have a GP10 but can't layer guitar sounds on it like I see the VG99 can. Any tips or comments would be appreciated.

This is all really nice,, but you don't show how to get from the home screen to the first screen you show,, this thing is really complicated,, step 1 step 2 would be greatly appreciated,, you could run through the maze all day and not get there,, I'd really like to know,, thanks
