6.0 diesel engines that are in the econoline chassis, weather its an ambulance, cargo van or in this case a shuttle bus, may need to have injectors replaced, watch this video. Welcome back FAM!!! I'm our diesel guy at an independent shop, and even at an independent shop we strongly recommend OEM injectors. If you get your parts through us, you're getting OEM with the warranty, if you want to fuck around and make bad decisions and bring your own parts then go ahead, but those type of customers usually end up spending way more in the long run.

Warrens injectors are the only way to go on a 6.0! I like the way this guy works. Good work.

Great timing Arod. I'm getting ready to do the passenger bank injectors on my 6.0. This will be an excellent reference. When Im cursing while doing this job I will have to remember it isnt a van chassis and to breathe

6E7Z-9A332-B is the part number for the whole kit, both dummy, plugs, stand pipes etc..., I have a couple custom tools I made for doing those

6.0's in an E- cutaway! Awesome. Motorcraft for injectors. They're down to $180 a piece now with 2 year warranty. No brainer.

@@Itsa_Mea well I'll be damned. If I ever get the ambition to take on another one I'll keep it in mind. I'm a medium and heavy truck guy, the small stuff is just side gig. But I do take on 4.0 sohc timing chains so I'm a glutton for punishment. Thanks for the heads up!

The injectors are down but something has jacked Ford diesel fuel tank sending units WAY up. 2002 7.3 F250 needed one a couple weeks back and Motorcraft was $621 wholesale and crap brands at automstores were not much less. I have installed a dozen of those that were half that. I don't get it. The gasoline engine ones withe fuel pump are still $300-ish

I have a P0272 Cylinder 4 Injector Voltage High, along with a Cylinder 4 Contribution code, and I'm about to swap my injector out. Is there anything I should do to troubleshoot before doing the job? It's in a 2008 Quigley Powerstroke E-350, so space is very tight and if I'm missing something, any outside perspective would be greatly appreciated.

I have a tpms fault tryed relearning the sensors , couldn’t get past right rear tire , got a new sensor from Napa still won’t let me relearn past right rear tire , 2012 f250 ,any ideas would be great , thanks

He's going to hate himself for not using Motorcraft injectors when they start malfunctioning sometime in the near future. I guess having the work done twice is how you "save money"? I've owned 14 Ford vehicles since 1971. I've only used Motorcraft parts for the few parts that have needed replacement and the cost difference isn't worth gambling on the quality difference.

I just did injectors, both alternators, belts and all new hoses/intercooler tubing on a 2006 ambulance. It sucked.

@@smokeskull it’s not too bad it was around 8-9 hours. I pull the radiator, intercooler, and condenser as one assembly and then pull the fan assembly. Then it’s all right there.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod yeah, they kept coming, and coming and coming. Service writer was all over my ass. I definitely felt like it wasn’t enough. But i got it done. I have 5 more 6.0 ambulances coming within the next few days. All different repairs and a crank no start when hot. Shoot me now.

@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod They don’t last anywhere near 3 years and I’ve never had the Ford dealer warranty them. Always some excuse. We have several Ford ambulances. I also work on several fire department ambulances and the Ford batteries always start leaking out the top and boiling over. Switched to interstate and no more problems. I always use OEM Ford for everything else tho.

EWWWWW!!!!! I DO NOT miss E-Series with 6.0s in them one bit!!! Watching this vid brings back memories of the pains I went through on a regular basis working on these turds. I see you have a shuttle bus application with rear heat-A/C. Double EWWWWW. I'm honestly surprised there are still any E-Series with 6.0s still on the road anymore! I would have thought most of them would be technical write-offs by now. I see that you are attacking the "hard" side too. More important than doing the injectors themselves on that bank, you didn't mention how you gained the clearance to that bank to enable valve cover removal. Did you remove the driver side engine mount and let the engine drop, or did you remove the body-to-frame fasteners and raise the front of the body off the frame about two inches to gain the clearance needed to remove the valve cover? I always used to raise the body. I don't think I've ever removed the driver's side engine mount on the ones I've replaced injectors on. Good job posting the part numbers for the dummy plug (-W302908) and the standpipe (6E7Z-9A332-A). I should add that if you are removing both valve covers, the part number is 6E7Z-9A332-B for two dummy plugs and two standpipes in one package. As for using Milwaukee tools? I'm in the process of building up my arsenal of cordless tools from them too. I have a 1/2" drive impact and mini driver from them so far. My next purchase is going to be the cordless ratchet you're using in your vid of course. And it's going to be the Fuel version too. Not having an air line getting in your way while you work is too cool.
