I've used panty hose to remove wax residue for years.., I don't use pledge, not really needed, as you're simply wanting to remove a residue, not in any way enhance the card.., wax residue isn't a stain.., so removed properly, it has no affect on the cards condition or appearance..
Would you do this on any 1960s baseball cards I have quite a few Clemente and Bill mazeroski from that decade would love to shine them up a little bit?? Thanks for your time
How would I clean a Topps chrome card I have a Kobe #171 and LeBron #111. Just started buying cards and I figure you have to be careful how you clean them. Nice video, thanks
I've recently started going through and inspecting some of my '82 Topps. I haven't tried your technique yet; but I plan to very soon. Is there anything that can be done for the back of the cards where it looks like where the wax melted slightly and stained the card? Is there any hope?
Sadly not a lot of things to help the back as the discoloration is permanen.t You can probably remove the wax itself, but it wont clean up enough to be worth the effort for the backs - sorry
It should, but I wouldnt be overly liberal with the pledge. To get comfortable - test it on a more common 1986 card as you dont want to mess with your Jordan rookie until you are comfortable
Jesse: Help - I need to remove magic marker form the actual waxpack that cards like these come in. So its on the actual package wrapper of the waxpack. Anyone done this successfully?
