Awesome helpful video. Hyundai wanted $195 CAD for the part and 2.0 hours shop time @ $165 to replace this part. My investment - 1.5 hrs working very slowly and taking lots of breaks between steps... and part purchased on EBAY for $29 CAD including shipping. You saved me a ton of cash ! Job was as simple as shown.

Thanks for helping this middle-aged woman not have to go to a mechanic for this. I am handy but I don’t do cars. But I did! 30 minutes not counting watching your video twice plus a couple others. $20 for the part on Amazon. I even tucked a plastic sheet under the floor mat to catch anything that dropped.

I take it you have to replace the entire unit and not just an individual switch that has gone bad? The unit on mine has only the main drivers window failing...

Woodrow Bryan Most of the time it's a little tang on the back of the plastic piece you pull that breaks. Hypothetically you could try pull the top off a junkyard switch but it will likely break. Also there is a tiny ball & spring in there that may get lost or displaced. The rest of the switch is all one unit and they don't sell just the plastic "pull" so long story shot you should do the whole thing.

@@SamHaugen actually I repaired it without removing the unit. I took a foam ear protector like used at gun ranges and forced it down into the switch. Finally got it seated underneath the broken area and the foam ear protector acts as a spring and allows the switch to be depressed and then spring back. 5 months into it all is still working. Window is used everyday. Who would have thought it would actually work.

Thanks for the helpful video but maybe in the future show the screws that need to be removed then cut to them removed so we don’t have to watch you unscrew every screw. Out of a 7:30 video literally 7:20 was just watching you take out screws.
