THANK YOU! I've been trying to fix this for weeks and hadn't been able to. So lovely to not have the 'Comedy channel' opening 😀 I love your sofa by the way!
So I did literally every step I this video and the channels still play? When I hit delete the check marks next to the channel name disappeared but the channels stay with empty boxes but still keep playing. Any advice?
Thanks a lot. Whenever my gaming console or switch on the tv, these free TV channels pops up and today I have received a letter for paying TV license just to watch live TV which is absurd since I don't want live TV
Is there any way to remove the suggested content above certain apps? Like how Netflix shows the Continue watching section? Would much rather it didnt show on the home bar.
New Samsung 43 inch, Feb 2023. Nice TV but background video with sound drives you nuts. Can't disable even with your method. Taking it back tomorrow to Costco. There are many forums with the same complaint. Maybe if Samsung receives enough of them back they would give you the option of turning off background.
When you turn on the Samsung Smart tv, there is always those tab on the lower part of the screen. How do you close the setting for that? So everytime i turn it on it will always be the channel in my tv. Thank You
Mine too. This TV is crap. I disabled all of the channels as shown, and now the Samsung TV app doesn’t even show. I still get crappy TV channels screaming at me in the background while I find something I actually want to watch.
@R for what it’s worth, I was able to get the autoplay feature removed by going through customer service. Here is what the helpful service technician said they did: “Auto programming it and we stopped it. Select "Menu" on your remote. Choose the "Channel" or "Broadcasting" menu. ( The exact menu name will differ based on your model) Select "Auto Program" If you're prompted whether to scan for "Air" or "Cable," select "Air." ( Many TVs may not ask, and will scan for both automatically)”
