Rebuilding a motorcycle engine? Often times you will run into a scenario on side cases and mating surfaces that have old rusty dowel pins that you can't seem to get out. I typically try to always replace these on rebuilds. So this technique seems to work best for when doing so. In some cases... Use a little heat!

Alternative is to use a drill shank and find the right size that fits in snugly.

You also have the option then to reuse the dowel pin as you haven't stretched it to a larger diameter.

Always remember to have replacement dowel pins ready. They're quite cheap. In my experience they scratch very easily and you don't want to re-use those as they won't fit in the case correctly.

I love your videos, but I have a question that's not related, I currently have a 2008 ninja 500r in good condition and a guy wants to trade for a 1982 honda cb900c in good condition. Would it be worth it?

Like I learned from this channel. It's the small jet that needs cleaning. The idle jet.

I'm sure it would RIP for me if I tried it. And if I truly needed it, it would disappear into the floor drain 20 feet away or just vanish into thin air. But great tip
