Well tomorrow morning early I'm going to d junk yard and praying I score a front bumper because I need one and this video is on point thanks! Update i did go the front bumper was gone, but I cut d car in four places to patch n repair mine. Guy drove d crx to d junk yard for $600, he coul have gotten 4 times that for good parts or for d whole car!

+Christopher Eugarrios Such a small piece, it's surprising that they didn't use the same hole placement and bracket and bolts. I think the main reason was that they switched to the larger bolts and that provided better support compared to the smaller 10mm (M6x1.0) bolts.

Thanks so much this video helped a lot...and if any of you guys lose the detachable plastic tip from the trim clips they will fall down if you give them a push down with a wire hanger and a flash light and you can catch it from the inside door part

Thanks for info on molding. Was taking mine off today, and both the screws that go in the door kept turning and turning. Somehow they were both stripped/broke. Ended up bolt on both breaking in half. Now the hunt to find a way to fix in a new bolt for that area.

Jesus Patino I don't. Behind the plastic panels, you will have 2 bolts on each side holding it on. It's right below the taillight.

oldskool DA9 one week until more track footage! the red stripe is some pinstripe you can buy at the auto store. these already had it on. I'm going to try to find it and finish off the pieces where it's missing.

You'll want to check the brackets. But I believe you'll need the 88-89 mounts.

No, all EF models are different. Easy, type in "91 civic hatch corner" on ebay, you'll see all the different ones they offer.

Hey Jon so on my 89 crx si I have a 90-91 crx bumper on it but it doesn't fit very well if I were to change the bumper support to the 90-91 do you think it would fit better or it wouldn't make a difference

I do not know if the CRX uses different bumper supports for the 2 different bumpers. If there is, then the correct one would be the best.

Try you local Facebook marketplace or look for someone parting out a hatchback. They are tough to find these days.

Look up some generic molding protectors. They make some out there but you'll need to find a width you're happy with.

Unfortunately not on a hatch. They are too long. You can from sedan to sedan though.

So the 90-91 bumper lights are different ? I always thought the 88's were different than the rest I had a cream Ef 1988 and it had way longer bumper lights than my 89 Ef. So I guess it has a 90-91 bumper swap ? 😭

Correct, the 88-89 are different from all the hatchbacks, sedans, and crxs. The wagon uses the same bumper for all years and the same bumper light.

Just encountered a new problem. My moldings were in my garage and they got knocked over some how and my kid stepped on them bending them.. Do you happen to have a video on how to straighten them out?

I don't. You can try to bend them by hand. They are pretty flexible and you may be able to get it back into a decent shape.

The 90-91 bumper support will line up differently with the brackets. You may be able to open up the holes on the bracket and possibly support as well to get them to line up. Use a grinder/dremel if needed.

The bumpers I believe fit, but hatch bumpers on a sedan look too short. The fenders, hood, and filler do not fit.

It'll bolt up, but they are a lot longer on the sides. It might hit your tire.

I have a 91 CRX and I was trying to take the bumper off but the screw that's near the exhaust is virtually impossible to remove even with a power tools??? Any advice ???

On the sides of the bumper, or underneath the bumper on the lip? I'm thinking youre having trouble with the lower one. Use one of the bit drivers made for removing disc brake rotors. They sell them at parts stores for about $9.

They are too long unfortunately. You may be able to modify the ends by cutting them but it might not look as clean as an oem uncut bumper.

You might want the bumper brackets, but a friend did this and said it bolted right up.

That's a possibility. I'm not precise on overseas differences in the chassis concerning body/engines.

Jon Widmer Its an ED6 1990 and the other is an EC9 1988 with the d14a1. its 27 years old so could just have been swapped earlier
