There's another solenoid next to the starter (at three right) you forgot to clean, has a mesh built into the gasket, for those still having issues, clean that one also and change the trans filter also
@@Rtario Did my cl type s over the weekend, and took the time to test the solenoids out also with a 12v battery and a multimeter for resistance (5.5 ohm).
Omg,i love the angles u got in here, great job... it really helped me out i was trying to see the transmission solenoids A&B. Trying to see if it was black on top or red on top... and bingo! U got all up in there perfectly, thank u! 😊
I recommend for those still having trouble to change the pressure switches also. It take about 15 minutes and they are located near the front driver side behind wheel
Just did this for my Acura TL 2000 damn the one in the back was no joke took me a while to get it off luckily I found an angle where I can place the extension socket to get it on and off
I did this to my 99 TL. And I also used some Lucas stop slip. That was 3 years ago. I also did the trans fluid change 3X3. I’ve done that only 2 times since then. All in all it’s holding up well. I know I’m on borrowed time but I haven’t put in a new transmission. And at this point I really don’t think I’m going to invest that kind of money. Car has 222 K miles. I bought it with 160. Owned it 5 years now.
Awesome! And yes if only everyone would understand that doing a transmission flush is need it. Even though the dealer says not to do it.. Great job and glad you save yourself good money.
Great video! I have a 01 CL, same engine, I believe same transmission. How to tell if this is Shift B or Shift C solenoid? When I make a hard u-turn, and hit the gas, the RPM’s increase but the car doesn’t go. I have to wait until the RPM’s go down to 700 before the car starts moving. I have no code. Thanks!
Hi Jayy. It could be lots of things. For example. 1. Low on transmission fluid. I would have that check. 2. Some solenoid do go out. 3. I would do a flush if your car just started to give u problems. That might help it out Not saying it might fix your the problem. Good luck & many 🙏.
Shouldve used 2 jumper wires to check to see if the solenoids click...thats alot of work just to find out you're gonna have to take em rite back out!...mine has extremely hard shift out of park!...
Hi Jason, for me it was different. But check this ok, take your time. 1.Possible causes Low transmission fluid level Dirty transmission fluid 2.Faulty shift solenoid 'C' valve Shift solenoid 'C' valve harness or connectors Shift solenoid 'C' valve circuit is open or shorted
To be honest. I would be sure but I would definitely change it and flush it out and make sure u fill it up the right amount. And reset the transmission Good luck!
@@Rtario as long as you can drive I'm sure It's better at the least. I'm resolving the valve one of these days. It sucks not being able to drive anywhere. I can't even find the right solenoid location. Hondaautoparts.com and a diagram I found on Google are showing the solenoid I need to replace In two different places.
@@lilblingking1491 what year is your car.04-05 are same,06-?? Are different.I went on a hunt for solenoids at a pick n pull and got even more confused.l.o.l...I don't have my Acura anymore,I got a 335i BMW 07💪,I fucking miss my Acura,I have a crazy fast car now but can't floor the pedal 🤨💲🤮.#04TLvtec
If my gears slips from 3rd - 4th what could be the problem, I changed all solenoids besides shift solenoid A because it’s hard to take off, could that be the problem? And my reverse doesn’t want to engage right away? Some one please help!!
Honestly Im not an expert on transmissions but from my experience I know it is the shift solenoids. My recommendation is to rebuilt the whole transmission. I'm not sure if your here in California. The reason why is because on craigslist there's this guys that they have this transmission and ready to install. For like $1400 including everything on it. Depending on the tear of your could be cheaper.
