In this video, I'll show you how I went about replacing a section of rotted floor in a mobile home. As nearly everyone who has ever lived in a mobile home knows, the floors are generally either particle board or some type of MDF. Most everyone who replaces rotted mobile home floors will go back with plywood. I prefer replacing rotted mobile home floors with pressure treated plywood. This particular mobile home belongs to one of my oldest handyman customers. I first worked on this mobile home 13 years ago to the week that I replaced this rotted mobile home floor in the kitchen!
I'll go out on a limb here and say that the most common mobile home repairs that homeowners have to make are rotted flooring. It's just so common in both old and new mobile homes. If you live in a mobile home long enough, chances are good that sooner or late you'll be replacing rotted flooring in a mobile home.

I think you are right about the way you made your blocking, I will do the same as you. I was glad to see a mobile floor that is worst than mine.

Mobile home manufacturers , by using particale board, have opened a whole industry for handymen to make a lot of money replacing it. If water even thinks about getting on/in particale board, its a diaster. A good money maker.

If you run into ring shanked nails with glue that won’t budge with a nail puller, use an oscillating tool with a carbide blade to cut each nail head off. Then pull up the wood and either hammer in the remaining nails or cut them flush with the joists. It works great especially if trying to reuse any good plywood sheets. Thank you for sharing your methods of successful projects. You are appreciated, much!
