THANK YOU!! I've searched so much, trying to figure out what could be wrong.. I got into deep water and both of my lights stopped working.. More than that, I was sure that I need to take off my bumper cover. BIG thank you!:)

Do you know by any chance in Range Control is controlled by ballast as well? Mine stopped working after the replacement.. And btw both of my ballasts had water damage!

Both my headlights keep flicking, it's not as strong as main beam but seems brighter. Then itll die down again. Occasionally itll flicker a few times like I've flashed. Could It be the ballast?

I have an 2008 Audi A4 2.0 B6 and I can't find the ballast at all I removed the right headlight on passenger side and it's not there. I followed the wiring and it leads into the fender. Can you help a brother out? 👍🏼

Hello friend. Ive change my Ballasr module from a jetta mk6. Must be the same Cuz is the same Oem part. Ive to change it after water went into the headlamp. I used a second hand Ballast module. All función in headlamp aré ok but a Message apearse in the dash trata saids córner lights doesnt work, checa manual. Do you know how to fix it¿ thank you

Hello. I recently replaced my main bulb like a month ago thinking it was just the bulb and it has now gone out again. Do you think it could be the ballast or something else? I also have the condensation thing on the headlight. Thanks in advance!

If you accidentally touch the bulb the oils from your fingers can lower the life of the bulb. If you are sure you didnt touch it, could be the ballast... You can try swapping the other bulb in and see if it lights, if not probably ballast.

Does ballast failure also stop the LED daylight running lights working. ? on my A6 main beam is OK, but LEDs not working.

The HID/Xenon ballasts do not drive/power the LED DRL's. They have a separate power source/supply.

You are correct. I had to replace the headlight as the DRL LEDs cannot be removed without cutting entire light to replace with aftermarket LEDs, which is not worth the trouble.

True. I'm about to replace my US Spec headlights for Ecode (Euro Spec) headlights soon and I pray I don't encounter a LED DRL issue/failure afterwards. *EDIT* I should have said "I'm about to install my Ecodes (Euro spec) headlights ...."

Be careful to get correct type as some are adaptive lights which turn with the steering or non adaptive which only adjust up/down. I made that mistake but managed to return the wrong one.

Oh, I did my homework. All A5 bixenon have the auto-levelling feature (up/down). The AFS-1 type bixenon have the bending/turning feature along with the normal auto-levelling feature. I already have the Ecode (Euro spec) AFS-1 headlights to replace my US spec AFS-1 headlights.

Hi there. After replacing the ballast with a new one...did you have to go back and use vagcom/vcds to reprogram or calibrate?. Or did the lights come on instantly after changing to the new ballast and starting the car up
