Thanks for the video. It was very helpful! Kiitoksia videosta, siitä oli paljon apua! You don't need to remove the brake caliper to take out the CV axle. At least on 2002 model that I'm working at the moment the brake hose and ABS sensor cables are long enough so you can move the whole hub with brakes still attached out of the way. Just separate the hose and cable from strut and cable from car body. I didn't separate the steering arm from the hub like Peter did but separated the hub from the strut instead. Mark the position of the strut to the hub with a knife or similar tool so you know the camber angle is the same when you re-assemble. If you have a newer model, 2002 onwards, no need to unscrew the ABS sensor from the hub like some guides tell you to do. Don't touch it as the bolt holding the sensor is usually stuck and you'll just end up breaking the bolt and have to drill it out. For 2002 the parts store guy told me to put 1.9 liters of oil in the gearbox but whn I drained it it had 2.0 liters in it.

Hi peter I have 1996 celica st202 3sfe 2.0L automatic. I’m doing a manual swap with a 3sgte maual gearbox. Can the axle and inner cv joint work back on the manual gearbox. ???

Why is those replacement part don’t have that rubber is it ok to install without it.

Hi Peter, i followed your video carefully to change my outer CV joint, everything went smooth. But after i was done, when i lift the clutch, you can hear the gears spinning, but the axles are not spinning! Did i break my clutch? or did i do something wrong when inserting axle. Keep up the videos :)

in corolla there is not way to remove the outter cv joint without has to cut with the emery?

We dislocated the tripod out of the cup by accident taking out the strut and we just couldn't get it back in, even with taking the boot off...had to just get a new one
