Absolutely fantastic video. Been having this code for 2 years now. After careful review, I think I'll just keep clearing it each time I park so that I can use remote start. Far less work than this. Haha. Props for doing this!

It's time for that Winter Maintenance! My pops use to always say to have an emergency kit in the car and tools and odd things you might need if you break down. More then a few times I've needed them!

Ahhhh!!!! I watched this specifically for the “frustrating part!” How did you get the lower back nut loose on the driver side?? Low profile wrench?

I'm sorry 🥲 that was so hard to film I used a stubby ratchet I think

just got done doing this myself. what a PITA. the worst part is the 13mm bolt on the driver side in the back and getting that bracket loose

That bolt is alone made me want to drink lol glad you got it done!

So let's say if you were only changing both sensors without removing the housing, would fluids leak from the holes you're reinstalling the new sensors into?
@LJsGarage
@LJsGarage 5 месяцев назад
It could, but since the housing sits at the highest point oil travels (roughly) gravity keeps it from spilling out and if it does it's a negligible amount.

Any torque specs for the housing or sensors that go into it?
@LJsGarage

There are specs in the manual I believe 106 ft lbs

Ill get to this eventually but what harm does it pose to the engine to leave it?
@LJsGarage
@LJsGarage 7 месяцев назад
Not much honestly since the oil pressure and oil temp sensor are back ups to each other in a sense

Is sensor and switch are same thing?
@LJsGarage
@LJsGarage 5 месяцев назад
In this case "yes" technically the sensor tells the switches when to engage the fans and such so they work hand in hand

Why is it that all these stupid videos cut off the most importantp part. Were people are going to have the most trouble.

It's difficult to film every single detail and we also assume a certain level of mechanic skill so I'll take the feedback next video!
