Hi Dave! Glad to hear you were able to do it yourself and thank you for watching. Enjoy the rest of your wkd and good luck to Team UK tomorrow in the Euro Cup!
I found an H8 AGM battery from costco that says it fits the 3.3L stinger, does it matter if its not energizer brand if the specs match up? I notcied the Ah for the stock battery was 90 and the new one is 95, does this make any difference? Great vid, thank you for the help
Hi there, thx for the kind note. Yep, you’re good to grab that battery. It does not have to be Energizer since it depends where in Canada or USA you live. The 95 Ah is good. When you buy the battery, just look for a round sticker that shows date of manufacture (like 10/23 - means October 2023) and find one made in 2023 or better yet 2024. Good luck!!
Does the 2.5L (H7 battery) use a longer hold down bracket? According to costco specs, the H7 is 1.5" narrower. I was thinking of possibly going with an H8 when it's due.
Hi, I’m not sure about the hold down bracket, but unless you’re running additional electronics, I would just stick with what’s recommended from the factory, which is the H7, and it might be cheaper too.
@@forevr_8 Costco charges the same, $170 (USD) for either H7/H8. The H8 has high reserve capacity. Ultimately the differences are minimal - 20 min less reserve time. 50 CCA less. Can't imagine it taking a whole lot to turn over the 4 cyl. For either vehicle, these huge batteries are used because of the idle start/stop garbage. I bet a a smaller (both dimensionally and capacity) battery would work just fine if this feature is never used. Only trick would be getting all the wiring to fit. It's become routine to disable ISG every time car is started.
