1A Auto shows you how to repair, install, fix, change or replace broken, weak or sagging tailgate lift support struts. This video is applicable to the 93, 94, 95, 96, 97, and 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Tools needed are a star point 6mm socket or a 7mm or 1/4 inch socket and a regular screwdriver.
This repair was done on a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
