Really appreciate the very clear instructions on replacing the back up camera!! So many videos are just an over view and don’t leave me real comfortable tearing apart my husbands truck.. 😬😂 he don’t care that the camera is foggy and don’t work when it rains.. he works to much and don’t have time to deal with it.. but I can definitely do this!

Note the link in the description says it's for the SRT only. I had to enter my 18 ram 1500 to find a match.

FYI, This is not the exact same camera setup on a 2012 RAM 1500, so not sure when they changed to the version in your video. Maybe specify the exact year of the truck in this video. The connector is completely different on the 2012. It has a square/rectangle connector that has 2 rows of 3 pins with only 5 of the 6 being used. It also has slightly different mount for the camera and uses a T15 Torx bit for the screws. Was also able to remove the camera without removing the tailgate handle using a 1/4 drive ratchet with a T15 Torx bit on it. Otherwise the installation is similar.

My backup camera got all distorted - watery foggy like after the dealership gassed & cleaned (power washed) up my truck before I came to pick it up. I got home went to reverse park and notice the camera was useless. 😪 Easy fix tho so no biggie.
