How to replace secondary / plate heat exchanger on a Viessmann Vitodens 050-W boiler step by step

Before to start any work on gas appliance isolate the power, turn off the gas and the water.
Leaking diverter valve
1. Download manual

2. Remove front cover
3. Isolate electricity, the cold water, flow and return valves
4. Drain the boiler
5. Leave open the drain point
6. Remove plate heat exchanger supporting screw
7. Remove plate heat exchanger and replace washers
8. Insert new plate heat exchanger
9. Close the drain valve and open the cold water flow and return valves
10. Re-pressurise the heating system till 1 - 1.5 bar
