In today's video I will show you how to remove and install the variable valve timing solenoid also called the camshaft position actuator solenoid for your GMC Envoy or Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 4.2 liter engine. At first I said you don't have to remove the power steering pump but as I go I see that you do have to remove the power steering pump. Basically it's a 10 mm bolt you take out and then you got three 13 mm bolts holding that power steering pump on and then the VVT solenoid will clear to come out.
