My fire stick notified me that my batteries were going low so I changed them and now my remote won’t turn on at all...this is the second time this has happened to me. What do I do?

Oh my God. I thought this was one of those fake videos making you do a bunch of crazy steps that didn’t work. It actually worked. I’m 67 years old and was going to give up and buy another one even though this is only five months old. Thank you so much I really appreciate it. I guess I’ve been jaded from all the other crazy videos I’ve had to watch.

This helped alot. At first my power button didn't work then I couldn't navigate any other buttons. Only the volume up/down button worked. I have a 2nd Generation remote and after following the steps to reset it, everything now works fine. I have another firestick on another TV and only the power button doesn't work so I'll have to reset that one also.

All I had to do to make my remote work was to hold the stuff and whatever then take out the batteries and unplug my tv then plug it back in and I tried it out and it started working again! Ty ty very much ☺️

I was thinking this video tutorial was my last hope but be I guess not. I have a Fire TV (3rd Gen Pendant) and FireTV Stick. One of the remotes I bought from Ebay version 2.07 with Mic does not work with Fire TV (3rd Gen) but works with the Stick version. So I spent an hour but glad to know that it does work but not all types. I'm sure this video help a lot of folks.. but some are just not compatible.
