Didn't work as described on 2013 S80, but after reading a comment from another post, released both buttons after the third flash of the "i" indicator light. Success. Beep is heard and message is cleared. If allowing light to flash until it stops (and beeps), reset fails.

didn't work first time i tried on my XC60 D5 AWD. what did work is following his instructions but letting go of the t1 t2 and start stop engine buttons after the information light (i) has flashed EXACTLY three times. Also, it did work for me even with my trip at 0 km. Hope that helps someone!

Brilliant! Worked for me thanks - 2009 XC60. As you say you need to let go exactly after 3 flashes. Any later it won’t reset.
