How to Reset Honda CR-V 2021 Engine Idle Stop to Sleep. 

I’ve used your information twice and it worked both times on my 2022 Honda CR-V. Thank you so much!! The fact that you discovered this by accident is incredible. I’ve tried to share this with the dealership when they couldn’t fix the problem but they were dismissive of it. Like the saying goes “the proof is in the pudding“.

My 2023 CRV did the same thing and nothing I did would correct it. I followed your instructions and sure enough, the Idle Stop works again. I don't really use it, but I was worried that the battery or charging system were defective. Thanks for posting this video.

2021 Honda CRV LX Standard Key What I did today and the AIS started work again. In the parking lot, I opened the door and got in the vehicle and closed the door. Staying in the driver's seat(Don't Start the Engine), I buckled the seat belt. Pulled the hood latch release. Started the engine. Got the hood open message in the drivers information centre. Keep the engine running, and the Car must be in Parking Mode; unbuckle the seat belt, open the driver's door(Don't close the Door), Go to the Hood, and Close it. Got back in the vehicle, started it as per normal and drove away, and the AIS operated on this drive when conditions were met.

Always turn off auto idle. This is the reason for many issues down the road if you hold on to the car long term.

Went and got my recall for the battery fuse now the car alarm goes off all the time when I’m away from the car and turns on and drains a battery overnight emissions codes pop up while driving usually in Econ mode and the only way to solve it is to keep the lights on then unplug the battery while the engine is off it resets the codes and it will drive perfect after that very frustrating usually if I want the motor to turn off I just turn off the AC or the heater and vice versa to keep the engine running when I first turn the engine on just turn the heat on to high and it idles automaticallymine is a hybrid touring 2021

Have a 2020 CRV Hybrid. The engine shuts off the moment the gas pedal is released. I don't have an idle stop button.

who in there right mind want s an idle stop its so hard on turbo's and engines .

Why would you ever want it? This is destroying your battery

I don't want my Honda to turn off.... it puts stress on the starter and uses more gas to start the engine every time than to leave it idle. These are just a scam to exaggerate epa claims
