I hope you’re making a very healthy living off these. I’d buy everything from USA companies like yours, if I could. I just ordered one. I can’t wait to try it out on my wife’s car. Thanks for putting your expertise into action!
Thanks for the video. Install (on my wife's car - '21 CRV) went flawlessly. A bit tricky to fish the power wire underneath and through, but I got it. The gizmo works great! Wife is happy!
Here's a tip not mentioned by the narrator: As mentioned at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-PRQ0e3UnjEs.html removing the black 12 volt power connector can be a pain to detach since its release tab is facing downward away from you making it hard to reach around and depress it. The trick is to first detach the plastic wall that the 12 volt socket is mounted in by removing the two Philips screws in each upper corner and then free the wall by depressing the center plastic tab and tilting forward. You can now lift the wall out and flip over the power connector to easily detach it.
Thanks for your reply. I did get it installed and working. I found that the two halves of the plastic module kept opening and I had to tape it together. Also the strip backing was impossible to remove and I had to use electrical tape, this needs better quality. Thanks again for your response Arnie
Econ mode is definitely fine to use and leave on all the time. It doesn’t have any issues with being left on long term. Econ mode does the following to save fuel: Throttle - Throttle response is changed to help reduce acceleration. Transmission - The gear shifts in the transmission are recalibrated to save money by shifting at lower RPMs. Cruise Control - When cruise control is engaged, the vehicle will be less likely to downshift in order to maintain its speed. This could lead to slight speed variation on hills, but it will save money on gas. Air Conditioning - It may take a bit more time to cool off the car or stay cool. With the Econ button engaged, the air conditioner compressor will turn on and off more often, noticeably improving fuel economy. Econ mode is a great way to save fuel as long as you don’t mind the air conditioning/throttle response being lessened.
😂😂😂 I’ve been a master technician for Honda for many years and the videos are usually shot in 1-2 takes. As you can see in the video that I’m a much better technician than cameraman 😊
@@idlestopper7486 nice, any advice on cleaning the screen on a 2020 CRV-EXL... it's only got 20K miles and the screen looks smudged. Just got it a few days ago
I’ve seen some be buffed out in the detail department using a plastic polish. I think meguiar’s Plastx would be a good choice to try, thats what they use. If the scratches are deep it obviously won’t do much. We usually just replace them at the dealer when they are scratched so I may not be the best person for this advice lol.
Going to return mine. The last plug does not fit. Also the module box kept opening. Quality and installation instructions could be better. I’m very dissapointed. Arnie K
Sorry to hear about your issue, you can exchange for another module if the one you received is not working. Please email idlestopautooff@gmail.com and we can get your problem taken care of
Hello, If you have idle stop on a 2019 CR-V, it must be a hybrid vehicle or a UK/JDM spec vehicle. We don’t offer any idle stop disable modules for hybrid vehicles. The hybrids actually need the idle stop to regulate and maintain proper hybrid battery charge and capacity levels which is why Honda also does not provide an off button on the interior. The 2019 CR-V did not have idle stop on the gasoline engine vehicles in North America, Idle stop started in 2020 model year. Hope this helps! Thanks for reaching out :)
Unplugging and leaving disconnected or removing a wire from the connection will cause an error message to display and a warning light on the dash at all times. Honda didn't make it that easy unfortunately…
Thanks for your interest! It’s actually a very easy install on the CR-V with no tools required. The console comes up very easily and the idlestopper plugs directly in with zero modifications. Definitely will not void your warranty. In a similar fashion to putting on ANY aftermarket part, your warranty coverage for ONLY the parts directly attached to the idlestopper (idle stop off switch, 12v power socket) may have some lost coverage if something were to happen. The idlestopper however was designed to, even if damaged, not cause any harm to the vehicle itself. The last thing we’d want is to fix one problem but create another. Also, the floor mats are OEM Honda mats 😀
