Just used this on my 07 Audi A6. It failed a warrant of fitness because the headlights were so faded. 10 minutes to mask everything, 5 minutes of hard scrubbing and they're like new! Brilliant thank you

TODAY IS 11/10/2021, I USED THIS PRODUCT THIS PAST WEEKEND, AND , I MUST SAY VERY VERY IMPRESSED. TURNED MY YELLOW LIGHT TO BRIGHT WHITE AND LENSES BACK TO CLEAR. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. THIS PRODUCT IS LIGIT. THIS IS A HONEST REVIEW FROM PERSONAL USE.

Just applied this kit to a 2005 Lexus RS, came out very good. Don't expect a factory headlight assembly. You will definitely like the results compared to your current yellowish lights.

I can vouch for this product. My wife's Nissan Note had opaque headlight covers and I used this product to clean up the headlight covers. Icould see the bulbs for the first time since she bought it. They stayed clear enough to pass MOT for two years.

Please can anybody tell me what is the difference between meguiars step one and step two headlight restoration is please thanks also in this video you put a clear coat spray on can you tell if the step 1 comes with any sort of coating to protect for long term.

I know this is late but i just bought this and on the side of the packaging it details step one to be the lightest of fogged lights to step 3 for severe yellow fogging on the lights. I would imagine more things to do to prep the headlight in stage 3 , sandpapering etc

Someone I know used this on my fine looking lights to make them a little more clear, the problem is that after 5 - 6 months the clearcoat dissolves and makes nasty hard to remove staines and the light is foggy again so this forces you to redo the whole process all over again. In other words it destroyed my lights.

@@xMorbidArtx Okay but the fact is that my lights were fine before using this product, the documentation in the box or website never stated that after using the paste it sands your headlights to a foggy texture. The spray only last 3 - 4 months and this product is far from cheap you can't expect people to redo their headlights every 3 months. If I knew this would ruin my headlights I would have never allowed the guy to use it on my headlights.

@@icwhy4366 Well im about to find out how long it lasts on mine and assume i perhaps didn’t spray enough to last the year if it starts to yellow again. If your headlights were new id probably have avoided doing it as ive heard it can destroy the coating that comes from factory.

@@icwhy4366 Also mine werent hazy in the end, im going to assume the guy that did it for you did a shitty job. I used 3 different grit papers and 4 different bottles (rubbing compound and polish) from chemical guys to use with a polishing machine, then adding the coating. Then again my headlights were old, but they look great now.

is anyone concerned with the overspray on the clear coat of the car??? I just restore the clear coat of my car and is smooth and clean. I fear that the overspray clear coat of this kit will dry and create a rough surface on my hood or where ever the product lands and dry

The middle light was the controlled variable, it hadn’t been treated to show the difference between the untreated and treated light

Stupid question but I’m using this exact kit and I messed up. I accidentally applied more than I intended of the headlight coating and got runs on the headlight. Anyone had this problem happen too? What should I expect and is there any solution other than sanding the whole thing down?

If you're looking for a quick, cheap way to spruce up your old beater - look no further. Don't go using it on your Porsche, you won't be happy. I'd compare the end result to a bad coat of spray paint.

I tried this a fucked it up lol left the first product on wen I went to do the other light, then thought, better wipe it of, fuck me what a job that was, had to get the da polisher out with ultimate compound witch done an amazing job, next time on my other car I'll no to remove the first part of straight away

I used this last night on a Subaru Impreza and it has runined the surface of the light. It now has scratches and also made the light duller and misty, hazey looking. Did not lift the yellow of the light at all. Would not reccommend.

well if your lights were extremely yellow, you shouldve bought the extreme kit. They sell 3 types, Light, Moderate, and Extreme for lights that are fairly ruined. If not though, try to stay away from headlight kits because they usually suck anyway and its better to just buy new housings or to get sand paper and do it yourself by looking up a video from Chris Fix.

You sure this video is editted correctly? Looks like before images shown as afters.... I've used this product and know it is a great product from personal experience, but this video is confusing to the unwary....

I watched this video and immediately went out to pick this stuff up. Followed the instructions to a T and, while it did remove the failing uv coating from my headlights, it actually left them foggy in spots where it was crystal clear before. SO disappointed in this product. I do not suggest it. Again, I followed the instructions perfectly.

for anyone looking to make their headlights look as brand new as they come, dont buy these kits! they usually dont do as good of a job as sanding it down with 3 different grits and water would do!

Just used this kit and not impressed. The sanding is fine and seems to do what it’s supposed to. But the final sprays……terrible. First goes on great and leaves a crystal clear coat. But the second just makes that one WORSE. Should have done one coat and called it a day. I don’t know what the second one is about. Just wrecked things. I follows the instructions to the letter and did two vehicles. Same dismal results on both. If you pick this stuff up just do one coat of the spray. See how long that lasts. You’ll have a clearer result

You are selling yourself short by not polishing them after the sanding and removing of the oxidation. They should be CRYSTAL Clear BEFORE you apply that Meg's Coating. I do this all the time and believe me, your lights are still FAR from clear and new looking. I would also mask off the entire car. The coating will leave overspray all over that finish otherwise. Either remove the lights or simply mask off the car. The average home owner can use drop cloths for a few bucks or simply by a larger roll of drop cloth covering for about $18. The one I use is 9ft wide by 400ft and sold in a nice boxed up roll.

The "overspray" of weak clearcoat. LOL, the car comes clear coated to protect the paint. This clear coat is so weak, it will probably come off the next time the car is cleaned.

@@stubones Nope. You'll need to clay or nano mitt the car to remove it and cause marring/swirls. Not pretty.

You absolutely do not polish the headlights before using the clearcoat... Worked at a bodyshop for 6 years, never have we polished before the clearcoat application... The correct process is to actually sand it down with p320, p500, p800 (you can also do p1000) and leave it at that because clearcoat needs surface roughness to properly adhere. Afterwards we would clearcoat inside a hothouse and let it cure with the rest of the car paint.

The headlight coating product is crap. The PlastX, which should be used before this does the job, but the headlight coating will leave the plastic dull which exactly what you remove (among other things) with the PlastX. Therefore, protection comes at the price of having a non clear dull headlight. CRAP!!!!
