As a fitness enthusiast of 10+ years, this is the best tutorial of how to properly use the reverse pec fly, to target the rear delts. Well done big man.
How’s it going, Red? Try making the weight lighter and giving your arms a slight bend. Also play around with the height of the seat. It might take a couple of sets to find the perfect angle.
Is it an effective exercise? I've heard that the cable flies are better as they give more range of motion. Kinda confused. Would appreciate some info on this
It all depends in on whether or not you are able to feel the mind muscle connection on the reverse cable fly. I personally prefer the reverse dumbbell fly as my first option, and then reverse cable fly is a close second. I like the reverse cable fly not necessarily for range of motion, but because I am able to adjust more accordingly to my levers as well as having constant tension. I would do the reverse pec dec if all other alternatives are taken or if you are having issues with the mind muscle connection regarding the first two options.
No problem, brother. I changed the name so that my youtube name would match my instagram profile Bennytheox_ifbbpro. I also think it makes it more personable. This will be the last change for a while, scouts honor lol.
I've always kept it parallel but I've seen other guys just lean forward onto the pad bracing with the upper chest only. Not sure if that works better, but it seems to be the trend right now. In any event, at 195cm, I'm far too tall for that. So I just sit forward as demonstrated in the video.
